With every wedding I photograph I bring along 40+ years of photographic experience for my couples and their families. My approach allows everyone to fully enjoy the wedding because I will not overly direct and pose people. The day goes so quickly, and I believe couples deserve to have as much time as possible with family and friends. It is during these times that the moments are most sincerest. As a father of four beautiful children myself, I understand how precious family is, and how images captured today will be treasured, becoming irreplaceable in years to come. My goal for every couple is to provide images that tell the true story, heart, and soul of their wedding! [Melbourne Wedding Photographer]
Jiake Yang, a father of two boys, a full-time husband, a lifetime photographer. I founded my own photography studio in 2013 in Melbourne, we proudly service the entire Australia and internationally. I've always loved photography, I've always loved to capture natural and candid photos. I believe people will be relaxed with me around, I don't have to tell them what to do, where to look. I watch the story unveil and try to capture every bit of it. Please let me know if I could help. I'd love to be your storyteller. [Melbourne Wedding Photographer]
My name is Gaelle and I am a professional wedding photographer with studies in Applied Arts (Nantes, France), Graphic Arts (Quimper, France) and a Diploma in Applied Photography (RMIT, Melbourne) under my belt. I am passionate about everything I do as a wedding photographer: from creating a great working rapport with my clients to ensure their special day is as relaxed and free-flowing as possible; to artfully capturing the pure emotions, small gestures and loving details of this day in the most natural and reflective way. In addition to my great passion for capturing life’s most beautiful moments on film, I proudly possess many years of experience and prestigious photography awards - both at home and abroad. My fervour for photography came to light when I was 15 years old and began experimenting with the process of developing photos in a dark room. In that moment, I discovered my passion for encapsulating real life in the art of film, a passion which only continued to grow as I did. I began my professional career within photography at the age of 21, where I worked as a photojournalist for Boston’s Canton Newspaper in the USA, acting as a mirror to the world. Aspiring to develop my technique and expertise within photography, I then furthered my studies at RMIT in Melbourne, Australia where I won two greatly prestigious awards for my work (Victorian Photography Student of the Year, 2001 - Gold and Silver awards). Highly-qualified and ready to take on the world, I returned to Europe and became actively involved in several projects in London with well known companies such as London Dungeons, Tesco and Vittel. I was later hired as a photo technician at Tapistry MM - a large lab in SoHo - where I was responsible for all C41 development, applying traditional darkroom techniques of colour and development. During this unforgettable time in my life, I rubbed shoulders and worked with the biggest names in fashion and music photography, including; Kevin Westemberg, Miles Aldridge, Kevin Westemberg, Derek Henderson and many others. This exhilarating career path has led me to the life I currently lead. After four years at home in France, working as a photo sales technician and dedicating myself to my family of five, I am now living out my dream job as a professional photographer. Still to this day nothing thrills me more than the challenge of capturing each individual couple’s special day in the most organic and unrestrained way. To be able to capture more than a picture - to capture a moment, a feeling, a thought - that is what I live for. [Melbourne Wedding Photographer]
My name is Jacob Gordon, I am a wedding photographer based in Perth, Western Australia. I am available throughout Western Australia including Fremantle, Dunsborough, Margaret River and Yallingup, as well as being able to travel worldwide. I have strong family links and an interest in travel. I feel that both of these help to influence my work. They allow me to tell a story, of which the family is ever so important. I work with the utmost professionalism and take great pride in my work. I enjoy meeting each and every couple and telling the story of their special day. [Perth Wedding Photographer]
I am a candid wedding photographer based in Melbourne who works hard to ensure not a single important moment is missed. Photography became a big part of my life in 2010 when bought my first DSLR and started taking landscape photos. It then progressed into event photography, a bit of portraiture and then wedding photography in 2014. I still really enjoy going on adventures on my free weekends and capturing the beauty of this world we live in. I love traveling and meeting new people. I lost my dad suddenly back in 2014. Now, I’m not telling you this to get sympathy, I’m telling you this so you can understand my drive. I know how important and special moments are with loved ones - both the big and small moments - I strive to capture as much as I can for my couples. I really focus on family photos and candid images of family members because I believe they are so important and those memories are irreplaceable. [Melbourne Wedding Photographer]
Kia Ora - hello! I'm Liz, a documentary wedding and family photographer based in beautiful Christchurch, New Zealand. I grew up in sunny Sydney, Australia, and all of my extended family are there, but my husband and I, along with our four kids, have called New Zealand home for the past decade. I have loved photography for as long as I can remember; receiving my first film camera as an 8-year-old, I grew up behind the lens. But my greatest love is people - they're simply fascinating! Being a sociology student also helped to foster my love for the uniqueness of the human spirit and to hone my observation skills. I am passionate about telling personal stories through photography as a medium - there is so much depth that can be seen and felt through a simple gesture or a facial expression that words alone could never express. We had a photograph of my great-grandparents' wedding on the wall in our house and, as a child, I found it mesmerising. It always made me wonder about the tales they could have told and what their lives had been like when they were younger. Wedding documentary photography fosters this love of storytelling for me, especially because I know these images from your wedding will be cherished and passed on through generations, weaving together your family's legacy. No two stories are ever the same. In 2019 I was showcased at the Elevate and Grow photography exhibition in Austin, Texas. I am constantly refining my craft and honing my skills so that I can continue to provide you with the highest-quality product and experience to help make your wedding day truly memorable. I only shoot a limited number of weddings each year because I want to give my clients the time and attention they deserve. I love to travel so please get in touch even if your wedding is outside New Zealand. I also visit Australia frequently. I'm so looking forward to connecting with you, so let's grab a virtual (or real) coffee and chat. English is my primary language, however, I can also communicate with you in French or in New Zealand Sign Language (similar to BSL/Auslan). If you are deaf and would like me to photograph your wedding, I can chat with you via Glide or FaceTime/Skype. N.B. Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions in New Zealand at this time, I may be unable to travel to your location until restrictions are lifted. Please do get in touch and we can look at your options. [Christchurch Wedding Photographer]
Born in India, brought up in New Zealand - exploring and experiencing the best of both worlds. I'm a sucker for South Asian weddings and nothing gets me more excited than capturing the diverse beauty of South Asian traditions, here in New Zealand. Capturing details at a wedding, especially an Indian wedding is crucial. But it doesn't need to be visually presented in a drawn-down repetitive manner. 60 weddings, 4 countries and 3 years - Over this time I've seen many nervous brides, overwhelmed parents, exhausted friends, and family who've been working hard to put on a beautiful wedding for their loved one. All those laughs, tears, and dancing are truly a sight to see; and encapsulating them on the photo is a privilege for me. I constantly explore new ideas and techniques that help us capture those authentic moments. I work intimately with all my couples and provide them with planning tools, creative advice, and anything they may need to make their big day, and my photography all the more memorable. [Auckland Wedding Photographer]
Kia ora, I'm Rainer. I'm a wedding photojournalist/documentary wedding photographer based just out of Wellington, New Zealand. After dabbling in photography for many years, I took the plunge and started photographing weddings professionally in 2016. I started out shooting weddings how I thought I 'had' to - directing couples where to stand throughout the day, constant formal posing and trying to create a story rather than capture it. I soon found that I wasn't fulfilling my creative calling working this way, and what was actually giving me and my clients joy was the candid moments I was capturing in between poses. I wondered if I could go through a wedding capturing only those moments, and after a bit of research discovered that what I was being drawn to had a name - 'documentary wedding photography' or 'wedding photojournalism'. I'm now about to hit a total of 100 weddings photographed, and am totally focused on capturing real moments. I also take pride in producing beautiful wedding portraits in a candid style that really captures who the couple is. I've always made travel a big part of my wedding photography, and shoot nearly half my weddings outside Wellington/Mānawatu where I'm based. I've enjoyed photographing a number of weddings around Australia, and look forward to starting this again once the current Covid-19 restrictions are eased! [Manawatu-Wanganui Wedding Photographer]
Photography happened to me almost 10 years ago. The passion grew so fast and so much that I finally took it up full time and started shooting everything and anything, and eventually got into Wedding photography. I love to shoot people. Human emotions intrigue me and photography gives me a chance to document them perfectly. Wedding photography gives me the opportunity to capture people in various states of emotions. I see them happy, rejoicing, sentimental, sad and going through so much more during the various ceremonies and rituals at a wedding. I am an ex-Indian Army Major. After I completed my Bachelor of Science degree I joined the Indian Military Academy and got commissioned in the Punjab Regiment (The oldest Infantry Regiment) after completing 18 months of training. I served at various locations for 12 years. I am married. My beautiful better-half inspires and encourages me to shoot and she sometimes assists me during the photoshoots as well. I love to meet people and make friends! I get so much to learn and experience, and I feel this helps me ‘grow’ as an individual. A photographer is not merely a person who has the know-how of the technicalities of a camera or lighting or composition but he/she is someone who understands human emotions first. I strongly believe that the photograph is partially a reflection of the person being photographed but mostly, a reflection of the chap behind the camera. It reflects the nature, the experiences, the interpersonal skills and so much more about the photographer. Therefore, I am what my photographs are! I am a musician as well. I play the guitar, drums and a bit of keyboard, I sing, I compose and record music. Music has been a very integral part of my life right from my childhood. Music and photography are foods for my soul…just can’t live without them! I am more of an outdoor person. Love to play games, swim, trek, and photograph everything. I strongly believe that everything and everyone around us is picturesque and beautiful… it's just the way we see. [Perth Wedding Photographer]
Born in Winchester UK, I moved to Australia in the early 1980s so my family could take over my grandfathers' farm. Even at this age, my life was surrounded by visual imagery, with my Uncle a Wedding and Portrait photographer, and a deep fascination with the world as portrayed in the pages of my grandfathers National Geographic Magazine. After leaving school, I pursued a career as a pilot, but my camera was ever present in my Nav Bag so that I could capture the people and places that I visited. In 2012, I walked away from aviation, to pursue my photography full time. Whilst a career in photojournalism wasn't on the cards for me, I stumbled into a career as a wedding photographer while also working part-time at the local newspaper as a ringer photographer. My style is driven by my love of the photojournalistic style, along with my passion for street photography, a genre that I indulge whenever I find myself in an interesting city with time to kill wandering the streets looking for anything that grabs my attention. I also love taking time to create portraits, I love the collaborative nature of working with someone to try and tell their story in a single frame. I am passionate about my wedding photography and want every client to get the absolute best representation of their day I can record. For this reason, I limit myself to 30 weddings per year. Hi, I'm Ronnie, born and grown up in Hong Kong, a tiny spot on our planet where 'East meets West'~ I studied History back in my University time, but besides my major study, I joined a documentary filmmaking course taught by a local veteran producer. That was when I started to discover my interest in videography and photography. Once graduated in 2008, I saved most of my salary from my first job, and bought my first ever camera. I became more addicted to photography, and especially photojournalism, because it has the magic to freeze a moment and tell a great story. Thanks to another experienced teacher, I was able to learn from him more advanced photographic technique and philosophy, and gradually I have engaged myself with wedding photography. Since then, I was lucky enough to cover weddings not only in Hong Kong, but also in Germany, Australia and China, with couples from various countries including France, Netherlands, Canada, South Korea and more. It's not an easy ride for sure, but I am glad that I have came through all these years and my love of wedding photojournalism simply grows with time! Besides photography, I'm a travelholic, although there are so many wonderful places yet for me to discover. Just like wedding photojournalism, I will never get bored of it! [Hong Kong Wedding Photographer]
Ten years in computer science and one burn-out later...I decided to travel for one year around the world. We are in 2012 and I buy my first camera. Ma passion for photography is born. In 2014, the best friend of my father invited me and my camera to his wedding. A BIG revelation to me, observation, instinct, moment, story... I love stories, I love moments, I love people, I love travel. I'm French, working in Nancy, and worldwide. I'm 35 with 2 wonderful little boys :) [Vosges Wedding Photographer]
I'm Vu Nguyen, founder, and photographer at Emo Wedding Studio. I love photography and design as well. Wedding photography is one of my passion and my job in life. I was born in Sai Gon - Vietnam, but I have influence in wedding photography of foreign countries very much. It happened in the period of my working time in New Zealand. That had been a great time in my life and it informs my style in wedding photography. Emo Wedding is an idea when I had lived in New Zealand. It kind of my child that I have spent a lot of time to build it up. It takes a long time to inform and grow up until now. Fine Art, Hipster, Boho in engagement and mix of modern in wedding journalism are things I am following in photography. I photograph emotion and natural moments. I'm searching, observing, predicting to capture a unique moment in every photoshoot. To me, each couple will have different stories and emotions. My role is to capture all moments happens and to be a storyteller. [Ho Chi Minh Wedding Photographer]

I always keep curiosity to be an observer and really like to create highly creative images for my clients and couples. I believe in the power of stories: they invoke emotions and impact lives, not to mention last a lifetime. And that is the motivation behind my journalistic style, which is really to capture moments in order to present a compelling story, complete with a plot and casts to tell a good story. My clients' story. I started photography back in 2008 but turned professional in 2011. From 2009, I was already the resident photographer for my school (where I worked as a teacher) and it was there that I honed my event photography. I also taught in the photography club, which helped me develop a way of making the technical simple, even to teens. Besides weddings, architecture and landscape has been a much loved photographic genre for me, which to me is not unlike weddings. Because when I stand before a majestic view (be it a countryside or a skyscraper or a special wedding), immediately I'd think: where should I stand? Which angles to take? How do I best represent this moment/place in photos? How do I tell a story? Because at the end of the day, stories matter. Especially to wedding couples, when their special day become beautiful memories. [Singapore Wedding Photographer]
Hi, I’m Orlando, a wedding photographer from Denver, Colorado, but I currently call Atlanta, Georgia, my home. Along with my wife, Lissette, I run Viridian Images Photography. We shoot mainly for candid moments when our subjects are camera unaware, while lightly blending in natural portraits. For the past ten years, wedding photography has taken us all over the world. From the spraying waterfalls of Iceland to the warm beaches of Mexico and the colorful landscapes of India. Not to mention countless cities here in America. How cool is it that we get to meet new people, document the best day of their lives and gain new friends; all while doing what you truly love in the process? It’s fantastic! We like good music, interesting design, vacation getaways, volunteer work, dining out with friends and all things Italian. Most of all, we love photography as our way to express a sense of what’s happening in the moment. So the feeling comes through even years from now. We don’t take pictures. We make fine art from your memories. [Atlanta Wedding Photographer]

From entrancing Hollywood stars and celestial beauty queens to awe-inspiring super cars, from the over-the-top extravagance of Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas to grand weddings in New York City – the photographic odyssey of Gihan De Silva has captured it all. Gihan’s odyssey which began on that fateful moment when as a young man he was enthralled by his father’s venerable Hasselblad camera has unfolded into a jet-setting lifestyle which very well could itself be the stuff of silver screen fantasy. But of course, though firmly ensconced at the starry zenith of his art, Gihan De Silva has not forgotten his roots. As the heir to Olga Studios which has a heritage of over 75 years in Sri-Lankan photography, Gihan has turned the gaze of his photography homewards with hope of imparting in the local photographic scene some of his hard-won lessons from Hollywood. In 2008, Gihan embarked on journey which – sans exaggeration – was entirely uncharted territory for a Sri-Lankan photographer – he moved to Hollywood, California. To make it in Hollywood, the centre of the entertainment universe, is for a photographer perhaps the ultimate litmus test of their abilities. This is precisely what Gihan did, and the testimony of this is to be found in the Hollywood stars and brands he has worked with. The most special day of your life deserves more from its photographs than the drab acknowledgement that you and your spouse were merely there. It deserves from them a celebration of the culmination of your love for each other through every shot and a crystallization of the joy & promise of that moment that will remain timeless. This is the promise of Gihan De Silva photography, that yours will not be just another formulaic album to prove that you had a wedding but rather that every once in a while when you open your wedding album, the memories of that day will come poignantly flooding back. To this end, Gihan – exemplifying his commitment to the utilization of new technology – has been at the vanguard of the use of both the 4D camera which lends dramatic effect to the backgrounds of pictures and a wedding album with a front page featuring a video screen to complement the still photos inside. Of course, as with all of Gihan’s work you can expect that his wedding photography too has been enriched by the cosmopolitanism of his photographic odyssey, and indeed true to form Gihan has shot weddings in locations as diverse from each other as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Texas, Florida, Sydney, Sri-Lanka & India. We enjoyed your entire performance, your professionalism, and above all your knowledgeable eye to capture the highlights of this day. You know very well to melt among the guests, and capture a lot of small natural moments: your photos beautifully make the atmosphere of the moment.
Gaelle, you have magnified the photos of the couple despite the very rainy weather. We are delighted with the result and very grateful for your professionalism. You are an excellent photographer who captures emotions. We will recommend you!
Gaëlle you know how to take advantage of the best, even in bad weather conditions. A great result that I do not get tired of watching. In everyone's opinion, you are discreet, social, and attentive to everyone's desires. Very good value for a professional and artistic result (no pictures plan shot). Each person is highlighted while remaining natural, you do not skimp to shoot photos to capture every magic moment of this exceptional day. Thanks to you.
