Australian Wedding Photojournalism by Alan Rogers

With every wedding I photograph I bring along 40+ years of photographic experience for the Bride, Groom & their families. My approach allows everyone to fully enjoy the wedding because I will not overly direct and pose people. The day goes so quickly, and I believe Brides and Grooms deserve to have as much time as possible with family and friends. It is during these times that the moments are most sincerest. As a father of four beautiful children myself, I understand how precious family is, and how images seized today will be treasured, becoming irreplaceable in years to come. My goal for every Bride and Groom is to capture images that tell the true story, heart and soul of their wedding! [Melbourne Wedding Photographer]

Philippe Swiggers, of , is a wedding photographer for Puglia
While wedding party stereotypes still exist, most people realize there’s more to being a bridesmaid than looking beautiful, more to being a groomsman than adding life and excitement to the reception party. But even the bride and groom might not fully understand just how helpful these roles can be, long after the train is bustled and the speeches are given. With a little direction (and not that much effort), members of the wedding party can facilitate great wedding photojournalism —a favor that...Read more

Wedding Photographer captures quite moment as the bridesmaid looks timidly out before entering the scene
Weddings can be chaotic, noisy affairs where emotions are displayed publicly, so one of your biggest challenges that day can be capturing that quiet, intimate side. Trust, anticipation, skilled observation, savvy lens selection and a host of other judgments make it possible to bag those poignant moments in images that recall the day for those in attendance, and reveal a story for those who were not. It is all part of the unique value proposition that our members bring to wedding photojournalism.Read more

Creative Portraits and wedding photography | Bride & groom portrait walking in front of colorful wall outside
Portraits are part of every wedding, of course, but some photos have the ability to sear themselves into the memory, providing an unforgettable image that rises above the common convention. Wedding photojournalists shooting portraits work within an expanded set of parameters, just like their counterparts in the news world: Some direction and setup is acceptable in order to fully capture subjects in the context of who they are and what they are feeling. I have been meaning to email you for a few days, and the delay is certainly not any indication as to how over the moon we are with the little package that arrived in the mail last Friday! I got home to find it sitting on the counter, and after a long week at work, it was certainly the ‘picker-upper’ that we both needed going into the weekend. From the brown bag, to the beautifully printed photos, to even just how cool the USB stick is, we were excited before we even looked at all of the pictures on the USB. When we got to looking at the pictures, it was such a rush of emotion that came flooding back, because the photos are so emotional, so captivating, and so us. I can’t thank you enough for capturing the essence of the day, the love we have for each other, and the beauty of a corner of the world that has come to mean so much to us. You were such a calming force on a day filled with nerves and emotion, yet, I am having trouble finding the right words for expressing our gratitude for both your physical work (the photos) and your emotional work (your presence).

Thank you so very much for sending through the photos, we really love them and they are a wonderful documentary of the best day of our lives. It was an amazing day and thank you for capturing the emotions and moments of us and our guests as well! We had many guests come up and tell us how gentle you were and how your presence made them feel at ease during the day. It is also wonderful to see so many moments that we missed during the whirlwind of our experiences during the day. Thank you so very much for being there to capture the little things :)
