Nick Després F.R.P.S. is an accomplished photographer with an extraordinary list of accolades. His work is internationally renowned and encompasses a wide spectrum, this not only encompasses weddings and other people orientated images, but also features his love of the natural world and the great outdoors. A Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, Nick has also proudly served on one of the Society´s Distinction Panels for eight continuous years. Nick´s Fellowship was gained back in 1993 with a panel of seascapes, predominantly taken on Guernsey´s coastlines, his native island. In fact Nick can claim to be a pioneer in the technique of long exposures in the landscape. Even though his Fellowship was gained with colour work, Nick has also attained the highest levels with his monochrome photography. This is illustrated with the award of Ilford/AP Printer of the Year in 2000, with his winning black and white portfolio exhibited in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Even though he does now shoot digitally for most assignments, Nick still hand-crafts black and white prints in a traditional darkroom. To further demonstrate the depth of his photography, Nick has won numerous awards at international level, including a category win in the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the Photographic Society of America Photo-Journalist of the Year, as well as many medals in exhibitions around the world. With Nick you can be assured of his drive and talent, as well as his vast experience in photography spanning three decades. Where necessary in your wedding Nick can also draw on assistance from Karen, his wife for over 20 years. Karen is also an experienced and accomplished photographer, being awarded her Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society in 1994. We pride ourselves on capturing the true emotions present in your wedding, in a discreet and unobtrusive manner. This is illustrated by Nick's membership of the Wedding Photojournalists Association, an international body dedicated to the highest standards of documentary wedding photography. When I started out as a professional photographer in 2007, I quickly realised that photography would keep me passionate and happy in my working life, as it was something that could inspire me. Photography isn't just a job for me, it has become more a way of life. I've always thought it to be a great privilege to be asked to photograph someone's wedding day, as it gives me the opportunity to capture such a special day for a couple and all of the people closest to them. I take a photojournalistic approach to my wedding photography, as it allows me to document my client’s day in a natural and discreet way, telling their story as it unfolds. By adopting such a style, I capture genuine moments and real emotion, which become images that my clients will treasure for life. I have been lucky enough to photograph some truly memorable weddings at some fantastic locations in Jersey, the UK and Europe. My style of landscape photography is influenced by my passion for the natural world - I've always been drawn to beautiful landscapes but in particular the coast. Being by the ocean and free to explore is a great form of escapism for me and when this results in capturing an unusual and powerful image that no one will have seen before, it's so much more rewarding. I love being able to share these images with people and am thrilled that my landscape work is now widely sold commercially and as prints in private residences. I’ve built up a broad range of experience in my commercial photography work and my areas of specialism include architectural and interior photography, lifestyle and advertising campaigns, commissioned landscape photography and stock image licensing, food and hospitality, corporate communications and business portraiture. I love to work with my clients on location to produce images that are contemporary, creative and striking and that deliver the right message to help promote their business or product. Hi I’m Ash Davenport from Miki Photography, an international award winning Wedding Photographer in London but covering the whole of the UK. I specialise in a blend of relaxed and creative portraits and a documentary approach to capturing weddings. So if I were to try and describe my style in three words it would be, LOVE, FUN & STYLE. LOVE – For me that’s what a wedding is primarily about, and what I'm trying to capture the essence of: two people who love each other enough to say that they want to spend the rest of the lives together, surrounded by all the people most important to them. FUN – Whether it be joy, happiness, or laughter I want your images to resonate with real emotions. So relax be yourselves, and just enjoy it – and then allow the pictures to reflect that. Don’t worry I be mostly blending into the day capturing it all as it all unfolds. No fake smiles, no saying cheese and no looking at the camera. Just awesome imagery of people being themselves with real relaxed expressions. STYLE – I always strive to make you both 'look good’ especially in the parts of the day where I get to spend a few moments with you and hopefully produce some pictures you’ll be proud of and happy to show your friends and make them go 'WOW’. If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, I’d love to hear from you. [London Wedding Photographer]
Hi, I'm Martin, a Bristol wedding and elopement photographer covering weddings all over the UK and destination wedding photography overseas. I have been documenting weddings for 10 years and had a chance to eat more than 350 different pieces of wedding cakes! Trust me this is not the main reason why I'm photographing weddings :) I truly love my job. I love capturing the little moments, the candid ones when nobody thinks I'm looking; memories that may otherwise be forgotten. After many years working as wedding photographer Somerset, I pride myself on providing each of my bride and grooms with very friendly and professional service. I have plenty of fantastic reviews from past couples and I won quite a few awards too! My photos have been published on a range of online wedding blogs including The English Wedding blog, The Wedding Community, Festival Brides, Fly Away Bride. I also love travelling and has been to more than 50 countries and still have plenty to visit, some of them for weddings! I am fluent in English, Spanish, Polish and "Portuñol" ;). I'm a family man, hiker, dog owner and Asian food lover. I spent 13 months exploring South & Central America before I became a Bristol wedding photographer and interestingly enough my first wedding that I ever photographed was in Mexico! Thanks for checking out my WPJA page, if you've landed here its because we share a genuine passion for photojournalistic wedding photography! I'm based in sunny Lytham St Annes I was blessed growing up by the seaside. I'm a father first to the little legend Chloe Lou and I guess you could say she's the one responsible for my photography. This little lady gave me such an appreciation for life, looking at it completely different and realising constantly that the moments that are always happening won't ever be repeated to embrace every one of them! With that, I decided I wanted to ensure I document as many of those moments and soon realised the value of it not just for myself but for everyone else I was photographing. Very quickly it became apparent people enjoyed what I did and the ball started rolling with me becoming a wedding photographer. I simply love light & moments and combining these to enable me to tell stories is a gift, one I'm so lucky to share with all my couples. With that said I make a promise to my couples before each and every wedding, that is to make sure they don't just recall how it looked but equally important if not more so, how it felt allowing them to relive that day over and over! A little insight: I'm a HUGE basketball fan, I love to travel (I've backpacked around the globe) and meeting new people fascinates me. Experiencing different cultures and their traditions is something I cherish. Thanks for stopping by, Cheers [Lancashire Wedding Photographer]
My love of photography began when I was as a child, now years later we are able to while away snatched nostalgic time as memories of those family gatherings, warm summery days on the beach, school days, birthdays and celebrations, precious times spent with grandparents on the family farm in Jersey and significant people in our lives, come flooding back. When I became a parent I documented my son’s transformation from a newborn baby into adulthood – beginning with the day we brought him home from the hospital, that first mouthful of solids (!), the first day of infant school, secondary school, the first job…. proud and memorable moments. I’m a Leo and perhaps a little sentimental, but I’m fascinated by the power of photography to transport one back in time. My other passions in life include spending time with my family, friends, good food – both cooking and eating!, gardening and film – be it curling up on the sofa to watch a good film or a regular trip to The Curzon.
