Jersey, UK wedding reportage photographer Andy Le Gresley

When I started out as a professional photographer in 2007, I quickly realised that photography would keep me passionate and happy in my working life, as it was something that could inspire me. Photography isn't just a job for me, it has become more a way of life. I've always thought it to be a great privilege to be asked to photograph someone's wedding day, as it gives me the opportunity to capture such a special day for a couple and all of the people closest to them. I take a photojournalistic approach to my wedding photography, as it allows me to document my client’s day in a natural and discreet way, telling their story as it unfolds. By adopting such a style, I capture genuine moments and real emotion, which become images that my clients will treasure for life. I have been lucky enough to photograph some truly memorable weddings at some fantastic locations in Jersey, the UK and Europe. My style of landscape photography is influenced by my passion for the natural world - I've always been drawn to beautiful landscapes but in particular the coast. Being by the ocean and free to explore is a great form of escapism for me and when this results in capturing an unusual and powerful image that no one will have seen before, it's so much more rewarding. I love being able to share these images with people and am thrilled that my landscape work is now widely sold commercially and as prints in private residences. I’ve built up a broad range of experience in my commercial photography work and my areas of specialism include architectural and interior photography, lifestyle and advertising campaigns, commissioned landscape photography and stock image licensing, food and hospitality, corporate communications and business portraiture. I love to work with my clients on location to produce images that are contemporary, creative and striking and that deliver the right message to help promote their business or product. Kent, UK Wedding Photography by Catherine Hill for England

My love of photography began when I was as a child, now years later we are able to while away snatched nostalgic time as memories of those family gatherings, warm summery days on the beach, school days, birthdays and celebrations, precious times spent with grandparents on the family farm in Jersey and significant people in our lives, come flooding back. When I became a parent I documented my son’s transformation from a newborn baby into adulthood – beginning with the day we brought him home from the hospital, that first mouthful of solids (!), the first day of infant school, secondary school, the first job…. proud and memorable moments. I’m a Leo and perhaps a little sentimental, but I’m fascinated by the power of photography to transport one back in time. My other passions in life include spending time with my family, friends, good food – both cooking and eating!, gardening and film – be it curling up on the sofa to watch a good film or a regular trip to The Curzon. Martin Dabek is a UK based wedding reportage photographer covering all of England and Bristol.

Hi I'm Martin, a Bristol Wedding Photographer covering weddings all over the UK and destination wedding photography overseas. I have been documenting weddings for 7 years and had a chance to eat more than 250 different pieces of wedding cakes! Trust me this is not the main reason why I'm photographing weddings :) I truly love my job. I loves capturing the little moments, the candid ones when nobody thinks I'm looking; memories that may otherwise be forgotten. After many years working as wedding photographer Somerset, I pride myself on providing each of my bride and grooms with a very friendly and professional service. I have plenty of fantastic reviews from past couples and I won quite a few awards too! My photos have been published on a range of online wedding blogs including: The English Wedding blog, The Wedding Community, Festival Brides, Fly Away bride. I also love travelling and has been to more than 50 countries and still have plenty to visit, some of them for weddings! I am fluent in English, Spanish, Polish and "Portuñol" ;). I'm family man, hiker, dog owner and Asian food lover. I spent 13 months exploring South & Central America before I became a Bristol wedding photographer and interestingly enough my first wedding that I ever photographed was in Mexico! Often this story contains many intimate moments that might appear insignificant to an outsider. Obviously, the emotional aspect of a wedding isn’t just about the love between the bride and groom. Family plays an important...Read more
Creative Portraits and wedding photography | Bride & groom portrait walking in front of colorful wall outside
Portraits are part of every wedding, of course, but some photos have the ability to sear themselves into the memory, providing an unforgettable image that rises above the common convention. Wedding photojournalists shooting portraits work within an expanded set of parameters, just like their counterparts in the news world: Some direction and setup is acceptable in order to fully capture subjects in the context of who they are and what they are feeling. Yet everyone approaches wedding portraits...Read more
Wedding Photojournalism Beauty Photos of the bride crossing her eyes as she reacts to her dress being buttoned up from behind
The bride steps into her wedding gown. Her mother and a coterie of bridesmaids assist her with the final touches on her hair and makeup. They primp and preen at her gown, perhaps contributing something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Today, the vast majority of brides invite their photographer to document the “getting ready” period, and for good reason. Getting ready can be a monumental task for the bride and her entourage, and an event in itself. It...Read more

Wedding photograph with layers | Image of the groom coming into the ceremony outdoors
Anyone who’s been to a wedding knows there’s nothing simple about the photographer’s job. This is doubly true for a wedding photojournalist, whose goal is not to just photograph the couple, and the family and friends present, but to capture the energy and the variety of emotion that surround the event. After all, it’s called a milestone for a reason. One of the best compositional strategies for a wedding photojournalist is to focus on images with depth. Deep photos, like...Read more
Pasquale Minniti, of Reggio Calabria, is a wedding photographer for palmi- reggio calabria
There are those couples who wouldn’t think of banning their favorite creature from their wedding, whether it is a dog, a cat, or a parakeet. They would rather drop one of their family members from the invitation list than their beloved pets. Aunt Martha, meet Bowser. Then there are the vast majority of animal lovers whose anxiety over their pets’ unpredictable behavior keeps them from extending an invitation to them. There are also those who waffle back and forth on the matter. They would love...Read more
