    • I really wish I had a caption with this photo. What an intriguing, unexpected and lonely image. Good job shooting something that wouldn't be an obvious photo to others.
    • I wish I could adequately express all the feelings and emotions this image brings to me. I see a room with high ceilings which automatically makes me feel that I’m alone and not at home. Next I see a wedding dress hanging from a chandelier and then, immediately after, the man with his grey hair appears and I wonder why he is in the bride’s dressing area. Then my eyes fix upon the TV screen he is looking at and it appears to be a young couple embracing, in love perhaps. And then there is nothing but the fullness of mystery. I couldn’t ask for more from an image - at least not this time.

    • Another example of looking around a situation that is common to weddings and seeing it from an uncommon perspective. The tilted horizon may add a feeling of energy to the image but I don't think it is necessary.

    • What a fun image. It really brings the personality of the subject to the viewer. Looking at the image makes you feel almost as though you have known these people for years, as though we could put it in our own family scrapbook and refer to them as aunts and uncles. It's more than just the obvious moment - it's also how lighting, composition and lens angle adds to the "feel good" veracity of the photo.

    • Nice seeing/capturing of dramatic light during what is usually an undramatic, even quiet moment. Stepping forward to lose the right 20% and the top 15% and the bottom 5% would really make this stronger and bring out the shoes which are an important subtext within the image.
    • This is a strikingly delicious image caressed in those beautiful saturated colors that blend furtively into the darkness surrounding them. It's a wonderful image with excellent composition pulled together with incredible lighting. All the components of this image brings us directly to the focal point, accented by that bright flash of light behind the subject.

    • This image has a striking sense of veracity. It feels real - as though we're in the room. We become a casual and familiar friend waiting for the wedding to begin. It feels as intimate as it is deliberate. The beautiful contrast of light and dark works well with the the posture of the man at left and the facial expression of the man on the right. It's a lovely image that is as seemingly simple as it is deceptively complex.

    • The use of the mirror adds just one more piece of information to this elegant photograph. It does not hit you over the head as a cliche which many mirror photographs turn out to be. Every photographer has had that feeling--"Gosh, I wish I hadn't made that picture. Photo gods please forgive me."
