Julie's fascination with photography started early. Hanging in her family home were two side-by-side portraits: one of her sister, perfectly coiffed and surrounded by carefully arranged stuffed animals; and one of Julie, tangled hair, one sock falling down and struggling to put on a pair of shoes. Julie passed those photos every day until the idea that people and character should be in photographs was as second nature as bee-bopping to ’80s music. Fast-forward fifteen years and you will meet a self-made, successful, award-winning artists who, despite her interest in all visual mediums, has devoted herself exclusively to candid moment driven photojournalistic photography in Key West. Below the bubbly surface that will charm both bride and groom is a serious professional and incredible artists. [Key West Wedding Photographer]

Asheville wedding photography by Michael Freas of North Carolina

Michael describes himself as “a real-moments photographer”. He strives to create bold, artistic portraits that are worthy of celebration. His unique perspective and down to earth personality translates well with clients, and he takes time to get to know all of his wedding couples. Michael likes to push the limits of creativity and thrives off of spontaneity. He focuses on the story of the day and how it unfolds, documenting the romance and love. When Michael was in high school, his grandfather gave him his first camera, a Kodak Ektra 100 and he began shooting film. It was during this time that the seed was planted for Michael’s unique eye for composition. A lifelong soccer player, Michael played goalkeeper in high school and college. As a goalkeeper, you have to anticipate movements, much the same way you have to anticipate special moments happening at a wedding. His documentarian style captures these fleeting moments creating images that are authentic and timeless. Each year, Michael shoots around 50 full-day weddings, including many destination and elopement weddings. An avid outdoorsman, Michael enjoys traveling to new places and exploring the beauty of the natural world. He loves all activities on the water including fishing, boating, and surfing. Michael is inspired by nature, light, abstract design and the love he witnesses between his couples. [Asheville Wedding Photographer]

Miranda Wedding Photographer Victor R. Urosa | Venezuela

Since 2012 we take care of capturing the most special moments of the lives of the couple who come to us, their families and the people who make their history unique and special. We capture the extraordinary in the most daily elements for couples and their relationship with the important people for them because we believe that the most significant of the experiences lies in the mundane. On the other hand, it is important that you know that we are not going to intimidate you and your guests with giant cameras and equipment. We went unnoticed to photograph spontaneous and natural moments. We are who we are because of our work and the stories we told before, during and after the big day. We promise that when you get in touch with us, we will give you the best options for your big day. [Miranda Wedding Photographer]

Miami wedding and elopement photography by Brenda Bravo - Florida WPJA

I was born in Los Angeles, California (to Peruvian parents) and have lived throughout Northern and Southern Cali most of my life until about March 2011 when I decided to up & move to Lima, Peru to pursue my dream of being a full-time photographer and documenting social work in the slums of Lima. After graduating from California State University at Fullerton in 2010 with a bachelor's in Visual Communication & minor in Sociology, I attended several photojournalism workshops around the world for years including Look3 Festival of the Photograph workshops (Charlottesville, VA) and Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Istanbul, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, BodaF in Querétaro, Mexico and Beyond [Wedding Photography] Workshop in Lima, Peru 2016 & 2017. Each of these experiences brought out a different world within me and taught me the value of photography as a tool to help us see, not only things or other people but ourselves. I’ve been photographing couples and families for over 10 years now, but falling in love and having experienced what it’s like to be the bride first-hand has changed the way that I see through my viewfinder at weddings. I am an utterly hopeless romantic and I can see and feel the love around me much more now than ever before. I get it. I offer real, emotive, and breathtaking images that capture who you truly are and all the joy you are feeling on your day. I also love to capture the behind the scenes bits, which I feel are the most interesting and telling; the pre-ceremony jitters, the anxiety in the dressing room, the sheer madness and beauty of it all. I live for these raw moments and am always ready to capture them when you least expect or even notice. Let me share my passion and years of photography experience with you. Maybe we can get a coffee together and you can tell me all about how your story began and how you want to remember it. [Miami Wedding Photographer]

Everyone always says that your wedding day is all about you. But let’s face it; that’s not always actually the case. Many couples stress over guest lists, planning, expenses, and all the frills and traditions of your standard large wedding that they may or may not even be interested in. Fortunately, though, the concept of small weddings is becoming increasingly popular for couples who either want to be able to completely customize their day where and when they want with the option...Read more
While some of us were fortunate enough to be born as extroverts, not everyone feels the same way. For a good chunk of the population, any number of the typical wedding day traditions can inspire anxiety and existential dread. This day is all about you, yes, but does that mean all the attention has to be on you as well? FROM VOWS TO CHITCHAT, WHICH REMAINS SACRED? Traditional weddings often require some degree of performance on the part of the couple, whether that is in the form of reciting...Read more
Traditionally speaking, often times it is the couple’s families who help pay for their wedding. However, unfortunately that’s just not possible for everyone, especially these days when the cost of weddings can quickly and easily get out of control. Some couples find themselves in the position of paying for all of their own wedding expenses, which can be quite the financial burden to take on, and about 40% of Millennials end up in this boat. So, how can you stick to your allotted...Read more

Oftentimes when people are considering a venue for their weddings, they search for a location away from home, whether that be ten minutes or ten hours, all just to find what they already have: a place that holds meaning for them, that feels comfortable, or that they find special and memorable. But what could hold more memory, meaning, and importance than your own home? For those looking for that perfect venue, it may not be any further than beyond your threshold.Read more
We all know that the economy can go through some hard times, and be somewhat reminiscent of past recessions. However, as people cut back on non-essential little luxuries here and there, one constant remains: weddings. People don’t tend to just stop getting married due to a poor economy, nor should they! So, in an industry that keeps on going through thick and thin, what are some things to expect for the future, and what is really necessary to still make that wedding day memorable and...Read more
So your wedding is just around the corner and you’ve decided to elope , either because you want to do this on a budget , avoid a large wedding party, or simply to enjoy the day together with minimal distractions and as little stress as possible . They say 'all you need is love', but where exactly can you afford to trim the fat, so to speak? You want simplicity, but you also want to be properly married and, surely, to remember this occasion.
