I discovered photography when I was living in Australia. I wanted to show my family and friends the beautiful landscapes of this very singular country and to share my new life and adventure with them. Later on I started taking portraits of people and life scenes. Photography became an excuse to please my curiosity, to discover new angles of human beings and their cultures. I wanted to go where I had never dared to go before. When I take pictures, I am traveling and experiencing new ways of living in which I can express myself and feel fullfiled. With that same idea in mind of taking pictures in the heat of the moment, I started photographing weddings. I first took pictures of my friends’ weddings, and then little by little, through networking, I was brought to this very peculiar wedding universe that I enjoy. What is important for me is to capture the moment and keep it real and authentic; every action has to remain spontaneous, every emotion has to be caught in an instant. That is why I am an active member of the WEDDING PHOTOJOURNALIST ASSOCIATION. Every wedding picture is a challenge. I am 100% involved, living the emotion, and trying to keep it as real as I can in my photo reports. Over the course of one day I tell your story and keep your memories . . . I was born in Los Angeles, California (to Peruvian parents) and have lived throughout Northern and Southern Cali most of my life until about March 2011 when I decided to up & move to Lima, Peru to pursue my dream of being a full-time photographer and documenting social work in the slums of Lima. After graduating from California State University at Fullerton in 2010 with a bachelor's in Visual Communication & minor in Sociology, I attended several photojournalism workshops around the world for years including Look3 Festival of the Photograph workshops (Charlottesville, VA) and Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Istanbul, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, BodaF in Querétaro, Mexico and Beyond [Wedding Photography] Workshop in Lima, Peru 2016 & 2017. Each of these experiences brought out a different world within me and taught me the value of photography as a tool to help us see, not only things or other people but ourselves. I’ve been photographing couples and families for over 10 years now, but falling in love and having experienced what it’s like to be the bride first-hand has changed the way that I see through my viewfinder at weddings. I am an utterly hopeless romantic and I can see and feel the love around me much more now than ever before. I get it. I offer real, emotive, and breathtaking images that capture who you truly are and all the joy you are feeling on your day. I also love to capture the behind the scenes bits, which I feel are the most interesting and telling; the pre-ceremony jitters, the anxiety in the dressing room, the sheer madness and beauty of it all. I live for these raw moments and am always ready to capture them when you least expect or even notice. Let me share my passion and years of photography experience with you. Maybe we can get a coffee together and you can tell me all about how your story began and how you want to remember it. [Miami Wedding Photographer]
Julie's fascination with photography started early. Hanging in her family home were two side-by-side portraits: one of her sister, perfectly coiffed and surrounded by carefully arranged stuffed animals; and one of Julie, tangled hair, one sock falling down and struggling to put on a pair of shoes. Julie passed those photos every day until the idea that people and character should be in photographs was as second nature as bee-bopping to ’80s music. Fast-forward fifteen years and you will meet a self-made, successful, award-winning artists who, despite her interest in all visual mediums, has devoted herself exclusively to candid moment driven photojournalistic photography in Key West. Below the bubbly surface that will charm both bride and groom is a serious professional and incredible artists. [Key West Wedding Photographer]
Since 2012 we take care of capturing the most special moments of the lives of the couple who come to us, their families and the people who make their history unique and special. We capture the extraordinary in the most daily elements for couples and their relationship with the important people for them because we believe that the most significant of the experiences lies in the mundane. On the other hand, it is important that you know that we are not going to intimidate you and your guests with giant cameras and equipment. We went unnoticed to photograph spontaneous and natural moments. We are who we are because of our work and the stories we told before, during and after the big day. We promise that when you get in touch with us, we will give you the best options for your big day. [Miranda Wedding Photographer]

When I obsessively started taking tons of photos back in high-school, I never imagined that years later I would have hundreds of amazing weddings in my portfolio. I've always followed my passions, and after spending many years DJing around the world, I wanted to create art that was more original. And I fell in love with photography. Choosing to shoot such glamorous and tear-jerking weddings (no, I am not immune, either) came naturally, partly because I am a bit of a romantic myself, and because I was always drawn to people’s real emotions. I love what I do so much that sometimes I forget it's work, because it’s different every time – no two weddings, locations or couples are the same, and this makes things incredibly exciting for me. Wedding photography has taken me all around the world. I've shot in about a dozen different countries on 4 different continents and had some unforgettable experiences in remote places like Mongolia, Phuket, India, and Belgium. So no matter where your wedding is, whether it's in a village on the other side of the world, an exotic beach, or an intimate backyard wedding in NYC, I'll be there with you. Memorable Images that Will Stay with You Forever I enjoy everything about weddings, but my favorite moments to document are when couples get ready, showing genuine, real emotions. The morning always feels unlike any other part of the day. And portrait sessions, when we can get creative, possibly take an adventurous pursuit to find a unique location, and make photos that can also standalone as works of art. Despite Personal Victories I Never Cease to Strive for Perfection I feel really proud of all the awards I have won over the years for my wedding work, and the shots that have been published in national wedding magazines, but I'm most proud when I can cook a tasty dinner for friends and family without the smoke alarm going off! My Aim - Creating Outstanding Lifetime Memories Feel free to explore STAK Studios, a kaleidoscope of smiles, tears of joy, and people dressed to the nines! If you are getting married, I would be truly honored to capture your big day, so get in touch and share your vision with me. We’ll make a great team and turn your wedding into a work of art. Hello! I'm Xiaoqi (she/her; pronounced "cho-chee"), Charlottesville wedding photographer & boss babe. You're here because you want to connect with an awesome wedding photographer. You don't want just some stranger following you around with a camera, but a friend invested in capturing your story. Someone who understands that you're looking for more than beautiful images because you deserve to have genuine images that really mean something to you! And that's exactly what I strive to take care of for my couples - I want you to enjoy peace of mind knowing that I'll be there to capture your wedding day in its entirety for you to relive again and again. Photographs have always been especially important in my family because we've lived in different places, continents apart. I was actually raised in China by my grandparents. My parents moved to the U.S. when I was 4 months old to attend college, so they watched me grow up through photos and phone calls. It became flipped when I moved to the US to join my parents. Everyone I had known as family suddenly became memories, photographs, and phone calls. Staying in touch was a lot harder before the internet! It was especially difficult when my grandfather passed away a few months before we were able to visit him again. However, I was thankful for the collection of photos we had of him. Although I didn't always love being in front of the camera growing up, I'm glad my family pushed for it anyways so we'd always have these memories of our people. Weddings are my favorite place to create more of those images. From getting ready together to cultural traditions and just rocking out on the dance floor, there are so many opportunities to capture people as they are. That's why my philosophy with weddings goes beyond two. For you, for your people now, and for future generations - let's capture your story in its entirety! [Charlottesville Wedding Photographer]
