    • I normally favor more intimate portraits, but this category was really strong on sense of place. The technical execution of this image was excellent. The use of light and color balance was beautiful, and then the scale of the couple was really well done.

      • I fell in love with this image for reasons that, for whatever reason, makes me reluctant to attempt description. Sometimes an image can strike us with such a guttural force that telling someone why you like it feels more like counseling or an interrogation than inquisitiveness. Nonetheless I can say that the light in this image is not only rich and inviting but that spot of flare provides an artistic expression that borders on symbolism. Beyond that, the composition is relevant to the scene and the subjects share a beautiful moment as they are bathed in the beauty surrounding them. And that’s pretty much all I want to say for this “session."

          • This image shows the scene of the reception and meal setup beautifully. The photographer was in a great location and chose the perfect time of twilight to show the table and it's role in the reception as it was dreamt to be.
