Elopement Photographers for Small Scotland Weddings
Shooting an elopement or small Stirlingshire wedding event is a wedding photojournalist’s dream: a fairly open schedule with lots of breathing space for creativity – it’s just the photographer, the couple, the officiant, and perhaps a few select companions.
Members are ready to document any fast, small, DIY - do it yourself, or elopement wedding, even if it is a Monday-Thursday ceremony. Search for the “Can Shoot Weddings on Short Notice!” message on the listings below.
We are anxious to create a picture story chronicling your modern, non-traditional, casual, small wedding from beginning to end. In this sense, it is no different from any other event that we have covered. The emphasis is on documenting key moments, capturing spontaneous displays of emotion, telling your real love story, as well as creating artistic portraits and details.

I'm now in my 9th year shooting weddings which makes it about 400 weddings in total...phew! So I guess I must be classed as fairly experienced at what I do...I hope so, at least, LOL. I'm originally from London but have lived here in Scotland for 17 years now, so please bear with my Scottish banter in a Cockney twang! I would also very much like to shoot your wedding day! I am a documentary wedding photographer covering Central Scotland and further afield. Home is in the gorgeous village of Gartmore in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park where I live with my wife and two kids. I have worked as a photojournalist all my working life. From Journalism college in Sheffield through local news in the Midlands to working for the Times in London and then Scotland. My camera has taken me to a lot of places and pointed at a lot of faces! From James Brown to Gordon Brown … and all points in between. I now split my time between photographing weddings and working for a variety of Corporate and Commercial clients. Welcome to Catching the Moments Photography. My name is Lukas. I describe my style in three words I would say natural, relaxed and unobtrusive. Candid moments, real emotions and reactions, tiny details you've planned for months, atmosphere, love, laughter and tears. I aim to record your wedding day as it happens, without posing or arranging anything, and most importantly without getting in your way. I believe every wedding is unique and should be treated that way. The thing is, the photos are about the day, not the other way around. Your wedding day, without directing or influencing the events. I won’t boss you around lining up for endless group shots. Instead, I will let you enjoy your wedding day with your friends and family. I won’t get in the way or tell you what to do. Instead, I will discreetly accompany you throughout the day. If that sounds like something you’re after, then you’ve come to the right place. COVERING WEDDINGS THROUGHOUT THE UK AND ABROAD Each year I shoot weddings all over Scotland and the rest of the UK, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, St Andrews, Aberdeen, the North of England and London, to name just a few. I'm also available for destination weddings. [Edinburgh Wedding Photographer]
I've been a full-time photographer for over 5 years now. Photographing people being people is the best thing ever and I know I'll still be doing it long after I've photographed my last wedding. I'm married to my best friend, Róisín. Somehow she gets me and I'm lucky I have her. We live in Belfast with our two kids, Dáithí and Isla, in an old townhouse that's got bags of charm (and NO space). The kids are everything to us. On weekends off, we fuel-up with coffee and take them out adventuring. [Belfast Wedding Photographer]
