Mesture, a classy, polite, and beautiful Turkish woman, and Shane, a young and courteous Belgian gentleman with a wonderful red beard, decided to hold their wedding ceremony at the city hall of Wommelgem, a municipality in the Belgian province of Antwerp.
The couple decided to take their pre-wedding photos in Istanbul, and the reception was held in Hotel Radisson Blu in Hasselt. The small wedding made for an intimate and intense day, elevated by the beer of Brussels and chocolate from Brugge, imprinting the beautiful flavors of Belgium in the mind throughout the day.
Although the city hall is within walking distance, the bride and groom decided to travel by car anyway because of all the high, rolling hills. The groom holds the bride’s bouquet for her and gives her a hand as she exits their vehicle.

On the morning of the ceremony, Shane went to a barber shop in Antwerp decorated by a large deer head on the wall and the word “MEN” written in large, red print on the window. Shane can be seen through the window sitting back in the barber’s chair as the skilled barber flourishes the towel above him.
