6th place in Toasting/Speeches
The WPJA contest judges presented Mark Wallis, a Derbyshire, United Kingdom wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- I would hate being asked to give a toast beneath a mural such as this. No glass could rise above such soaring majesty. No modern words could span the history of its tale. Perhaps it is best then to be a spectator than spectacle. Fortunately for us there is this moment, the only one of it’s kind that will ever be. Such is the amazing ability of a little magic box, that we call a camera, to span generations for us with graceful brush strokes upon eyes.
Wedding photographer Mark Wallis, was awarded 6th place for photo 1644301 in the Toasting/Speeches category for the WPJA's 2015 Q2 Photography Contest.
