In this sense, it is no different from any other event that we have covered. The emphasis is on documenting key moments, capturing spontaneous displays of emotion, telling your real love story, as well as creating artistic portraits and details.

I have been taking photographs for most of my life. I have a passion for capturing what is happening around me, with no intervention or interruption, and I love a good wedding. I've been a full-time wedding photographer since 2006 and have been fortunate to attend many hundreds of weddings in every corner, and almost every county, of the UK. My work has been recognised repeatedly by the WPJA and other organisations, and I have one of the largest running totals of award-winning images in the UK. I like to immerse myself in your wedding, there from the preparations until the party is in full swing, and all I ask is that you and your guests forget about the photography and enjoy the day to the fullest. Your reward will be a thorough record of the events and emotions of the whole day. The REAL story of your wedding. Based in Derbyshire with my wife and two kids, I shoot weddings all over the UK and worldwide. [Derbyshire Wedding Photographer]
Hi, I'm Patrick, I am a documentary wedding photographer based in Yorkshire, England. I work with my wife Hollie Mateer. Our studio is called M and G Wedding Photography and we work alongside another photographer, Matt Godman. My dad, when he was working, was an Art and Animation lecturer, art and design teacher, and freelance artist. He always had a camera with him - a Nikon F2 was his main camera, . He was a very trusting father as he let me use it from an early age. So I started taking photos from a very early age. I studied art at school and was lucky to have access to their darkroom. From school, I went to art college and then University. Though I studied fine art, I always specialised in photography. At university, I worked in many different ways, shooting landscapes, street photography, portraits. I was influenced by Adams, Eggleston, McCullin, Meyorvitz, Friedlander, Frank, Arbus, Wall. At university, I met my close friend Matt Godman. After graduation, we both started shooting weddings independently. After some years, we decided to pool our talents and experience. M and G Wedding Photography was born. In 2015 I met my wife Hollie Mateer. She joined M and G Wedding Photography in 2017. Hollie is my wife, my best friend, the best photographer I know - and the most wonderful mother. We love working together, in particular, shooting together. She continually pushes me to be a better photographer, just through her sheer talent. I still shoot images on film today - particularly on holiday or days out. Rather than taking a digital camera or using my phone, I use my Nikon F100 film camera. This restricts me to 36 images, meaning I really take time when documenting - and enjoying - moments as they happen. I became a wedding photographer because I love photography. I used to shoot more commercial work, but over time, I came to realise my real passion was wedding photography. Every wedding assignment is shot in my own style - every frame is my own. In commercial photography, though I loved the challenge of working to brief, I always felt restricted. Wedding photography allows me to express myself through image-making in the way I want to. I never seek to repeat past work and I don't work to a brief. My clients just expect me to take natural, unposed images of their day in the style I am known for. [East Yorkshire Wedding Photographer]
Hi, I'm Nick originally from Liverpool but now based out of Lincoln where I live with my partner and two young daughters. Photography started as a hobby for me nearly 11 years ago photographing mostly landscapes, cityscapes & architecture. Whilst I was still serving in the Royal Marines I began the journey into weddings by second shooting and then when I had gained enough experience I decided to take the plunge and start my own Wedding Photography business. I love to shoot weddings in a totally candid, documentary-style not only capturing the emotion of the day but also the FUN and lots of it! Although I'm based in Lincolnshire I also shoot weddings throughout the UK and Europe. [Lincolnshire Wedding Photographer]
Hi there! I'm Andy a documentary wedding photographer based in sunny Nottingham in the UK. I've tried a few different jobs in my time, it all started as a drum teacher; having played the drums for around 15 years. After that, it was an accountant for a long 13 years... In 2014, I shot my first wedding, and like most wedding photographers, it was a friend's wedding. I did all my research; I did all the planning, I completed the youtube university degree on wedding photography by watching days and days of wedding photography tutorials. But, I realised after my first wedding that I didn't want to be a 'traditional wedding photographer' I didn't want to spend hours and hours waiting for Uncle John to come back from the bar so we can get yet another family formal group shot. My calling is documenting the wedding day as a guest, to give my couples a view of their wedding, which is unique. Yes, there will also ways be the odd groups shot here or there, but for 99% of a wedding day, I'm there as a guest capturing all the wedding moments that the Bride and Groom would never see. Photographing weddings takes up so much of my life, I live and breathe it every single day. I never stop thinking about pictures of weddings and the excitement about the next wedding. When I do have spare time, I'm either out running or out walking the dog - Rufus who is a fox red Labrador, but even then - I'm always thinking about weddings. Hopefully, this little snippet gives you an idea about me and I can guarantee that I will not be climbing up a ladder to organise your wedding guests into a heart shape, to get a group shot! Hey, I’m Cris Lowis, a Documentary Wedding Photographer based in Staffordshire. I've been a wedding photographer since 2011 and over the years I've naturally found my style and passion within photography which is a love for real moments. Sure, I still do the posed shots if needed but by focusing on the story I give my clients an authentic representation of their wedding day. I'm a family man and spend my days off with my wife and two kids. We also have a dog, two cats and three chickens..yep, its a mad house. If you're looking for a photographer please do check out my website, I'd love to hear from you. [Staffordshire Wedding Photographer]
