3rd place in Dancing
The WPJA contest judges presented Keith Foley, a New Jersey, United States wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

Photographer's Comment
This image says a lot about the relationship of our bride and groom. It's all the more meaningful because it happened spontaneously on the dance floor, sort of a private moment of connection in a public space. For me, this holds more communicative power than any posed alternative.
Judges
- Sweet, gentle moment that evokes an intimacy between the couple which transcends the crowded dance floor to a unique space only they share. A tender, private moment in the middle of the hoopla. A private moment, perfectly framed. After all of the stress of planning the wedding, this photographer captured the moment of quiet happiness between the couple, whose expression reads, "we did it."
Wedding photographer Keith Foley, was awarded 3rd place for photo 56311 in the Dancing category for the WPJA's 2007 BRIDES Magazine.
