Michelle has been photographing weddings and elopements since 2004. Couples call her a 'wedding ninja' for her ability to capture raw emotion while telling their story in a beautiful, yet comprehensive manner and always with a bit of humor along the way. [New Jersey Wedding Photographer]
My journey in photography began when I was 17 years of age. My mother showed me how to shoot, develop, and print black and white photographs in her makeshift darkroom set up in our basement. I was completely blown away by the whole process and instantly became infatuated. After high school, I went on to earn my BFA in Photography from the Maryland Institute College of Art. I have over 15 years' worth of experience documenting and preserving memories for my wedding couples. Along the way, I have won many awards, which I could list, but I would rather have you respond to the images I make instead of accolades from the wedding industry. After all, my biggest awards are happy clients! I strive to make meaningful, genuine, and real photographs. That could be an emotional heartfelt cry, or perhaps tears of joy, maybe a tight embracing hug, or a big ‘ole belly laugh, maybe it’s some crazy drunk dancing, or even just a kid picking her nose. I want to tell YOUR story, not my version of your story. So just let the day unfold organically and know that I will be there to capture it all as it happens; imperfectly perfect. Besides, the reality is far more interesting than anything I could construct. This is what it’s all about for me, keeping it real. [New Jersey Wedding Photographer]
I love working with couples who are authentic, fun, down-to-earth, and want to celebrate their individuality. For over 10 years, I’ve been providing couples with dedicated caring service as they’ve trusted me to document and capture one of the most important days in their lives. I’m honored that people invite me to be a part of their wedding day and that my photos will tell their story for years to come. I’ve always enjoyed working with and getting to know all sorts of different people – I loved meeting new people during my days as a newspaper photographer and wedding photography has allowed me that same joy. My business has always been firmly rooted in inclusivity and equality. So if you’re looking for an experienced New York/New Jersey photographer who will honor the uniqueness of you, your partnership, and your wedding—then look no further than Studio A Images. Danette has been documenting weddings in New Jersey since 2010, but before that she had a long career as a biologist. Since photography was essential to her happiness, she boldly switched careers and has not looked back since. She feels most alive photographing weddings and is addicted to the adrenaline rush and challenges each wedding presents. Danette is following her true passion, and now she wants to share that with you. [New Jersey Wedding Photographer]
I’m a wedding and elopement photographer based in the NYC and NJ metro area specializing in capturing real candid moments and making custom black and white prints. I love classic black tie weddings and equally love a simple affair at City Hall because both tell a story about a family and a couple embarking on a new adventure together. It is an honor to document these days and do all I can to make the day run as smooth as possible. My style is as unobtrusive as can be, save for the portrait session where I will try and make these as quick and painless as possible! I’m based in NJ just outside of NYC and photograph weddings all over the tri-state area and also destinations. [Hoboken Wedding Photographer]
William began his career as a professional photographer in 2006 and has photographed more than 600 weddings throughout the United States and around the world. William's unique style is a natural result of his interest in art, design, and culture. With a background in business development and graphic communications, William has worked with a diverse group of clients, such as MTV, Billboard, Rolling Stone, Architectural Digest, The New Yorker, Men's Journal, Bon Appétit, and Artforum. When he's not working on an assignment, William likes to relax at home with his amazing wife and three beautiful daughters. William is proud to be a member of the WPJA. Hi! I'm a wedding photographer living in Southern New Jersey and covering the greater Philadelphia area as well as all of New Jersey. I've been photographing weddings professionally since 2012. While photography has always been a passion of mine, I didn't start photographing weddings until I realized just how posey and fake most weddings were when it came to photography! I decided then that I would start photographing weddings as a storyteller and photojournalist. Capturing real moments and the true essence of the day for my couples. Things took off from there and now here I am! I am also an avid wildlife photographer. I think that wildlife and weddings are very similar to me in that you get an addictive rush when you are able to capture the perfect moment. A moment where a single photograph can tell an entire story. There is nothing else like that and I will never tire of waiting endlessly to capture those moments! [Philadelphia Wedding Photographer]
Meg Brock is a wedding photojournalist based in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Meg was drawn to documentary photography and storytelling after a 10-year career as a pediatric intensive care nurse, which included two years volunteering in West Africa on board a hospital ship. Her experiences as a nurse were formative and gifted her an intimate view of the complexity of the individual and deep emotions connected to the human experience. As a result, she is drawn to the emotional connection and loves storytelling, which is shown in her documentary wedding photography. In addition to being a photographer, she is married to a wonderful husband and is excited to soon be celebrating 10 years of marriage. She is the mother of two children who share her strong will and determination. Being their mother has been and continues to be the greatest and most delicate privilege of her life. [Philadelphia Wedding Photographer]
After spending years photographing sports, Denis has developed a keen eye and intuition for capturing natural, emotional, and long lasting moments using a non-intrusive approach to wedding photography. [Manhattan Wedding Photographer]
My name is Colleen Stepanian. I am a freelance photographer based in Philadelphia, PA and available for travel. I've contemplated long and hard every single day since I've picked up a camera about why I do what I do and what motivates me. I think about what it means to me and about what it means to other people. There are a few reasons, some have changed, some haven't. The few that drive them all are human connection, relationships, and vulnerability. I feel I have a responsibility to photograph present reality for the sake of human history and future nostalgia. It is very easy for me to connect with people, whether it be my clients or a stranger on the street. I love knowing that through my chosen medium I am able to gain new perspectives of this life, one person at a time. I feel honored and blessed to be able to wake up every morning and tell stories through photographs. Whether you are a couple that is tying the knot with a large wedding or small elopement, a family that wants to remember the little things, an individual that wants their story to be heard, or you're with a non-profit that needs an event covered, I want to hear from you. [Philadelphia Wedding Photographer]
When Tim had his first encounter with a DSLR camera he was so fascinated he couldn’t put it away. He soon understood it was so much more than a toy. Not long after, he decided to make his new passion his profession. During the next few years, he received a great deal of training from top photographers, learning what weddings were all about. During this time his eyes opened up to the real meaning of being a wedding photographer. Tim states, “I wanted to document the tears, laughter, excitement, and love between the couple so that when they look back, they can relive the day. My images will tell a story that words cannot describe. I capture moments that will never come back. I learned how to be a true storyteller.” Since then, he has been working hard to make each and every wedding a sparkling and memorable day for decades to come. As a single man, Tim never thought much about anything related to weddings. His perspective of wedding photography changed entirely as soon as he got married. “I started to see people, hear their stories, feel their wedding jitters.” He wanted to tell the story of the day through his photographs. “I realized what a blessing, challenge, and responsibility it was to be a part of the happiest day of a beautiful couple’s life.” Tim feels happiest when he receives letters from the newlyweds saying that the wedding images he has taken were more than they had expected and that they had already framed and hung some of them around their home. “I take it very personally”, he admits, “I treat every wedding as if it was my own. I want all of them to be perfect!” [Manhattan Wedding Photographer]
Here is a little bit about me, Denise Chastain. I sold my first photograph when I was fifteen years old to my music teacher. That same year, my first published photograph appeared in 16 magazine. Four years in high school I studied Photography. I went on to further develop my photography skills at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. After graduation, I pursued my freelance career, shooting an array of diverse assignments. My first big break was photographing the late great Ronnie Dawson, rockabilly hero, in 1996. The story was published in Option Magazine. Soon after, I photographed personalities such as Marc Anthony, Joan Jett, Missy Elliott, Nas, Ozzy Osbourne and former NYC Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. During this time, the late Elyse Weissberg was at first my business consultant and soon after, she became my agent. We had a great friendship and working relationship. With her help and expertise, we branched out into the world of advertising, cultivating AT&T, Chase, North Point Communications, Janssen Products, LP, The United States Postal Service, Ogilvy and Mather NYC, Grey Advertising San Francisco and Foote Cone & Belding as both new and ongoing clients. In 2004, I was approached by NKH Enterprises to be part of their “New York Streets” Magazine Show (Japan’s version of ’60 Minutes’). It was a 20 minute segment about my photography and how I use NYC as a backdrop for my images. They had a hard time finding the right photographer to feature for this segment and it was a great honor to be part of the series. During most of my career, I photographed weddings as well. My client base grew from my connections in the editorial and commercial world. In 2006, I was invited to be a member of the great Wedding Photojournalism Association. [New York - Long Island Wedding Photographer]
I don't like having my picture taken. So, if you feel a bit awkward having your photo taken, I feel your pain. I have been photographing weddings and events for nearly 20 years, and I always aim to make my clients feel as comfortable as possible throughout the process (before, during, and after the wedding day). My vision is influenced by my background in the performing arts (music and theater), and my photography career sprang from that background (photographing live music/band and theatrical performances). After snapping pictures at the weddings of some friends in the late 1990s, I developed a true passion for wedding photography. Now I shoot between 25-30 weddings per year, and my work has been featured in The Knot Magazine as well blogs like Style Me Pretty, Wedding Chicks, Snippet & Ink, Brooklyn Bride, and Rock & Roll Bride. My non-wedding work has been shown in galleries and shows as well as being featured in international art publications. [Manhattan Wedding Photographer]
My name is Yun Li. I was born in Wuhan, China. I came to the United States in 2008. I am a wife and a mom of two girls living in Long Island, NY. I take a lot of pictures for my own family especially my own kids. At the end of the day, pictures with authentic moments are always the ones that I look over and over again. I like to document their everyday life just as it is. They don’t have to force a smile or look at the camera. They just need to be who they really are and do what they want to do. I especially love documenting their interaction between each other and our connection to them. I want to be able to show them years later what they were like and how much they were loved at that time. As your photographer, I would like to take pictures of you and your family the same way that I take pictures for my family. I don’t only want to be your photographer, but also be your friend. [New York - Long Island Wedding Photographer]
My inspiration for photography is greatly influenced by literature, music, cinema and personal experiences. I try to approach my work as if it's a magical, timeless film, beautiful music composition, a memorable novel or a poem that one is constantly drawn to come back to and every time finds something new. My lifelong involvement with fine art and documentary photography lets me intimately capture the emotions, grace and light in all of the priceless moments of a wedding day, as well as the fleeting moments between those moments. I am also involved in curating film programs for several international festivals and constantly working on my personal film and photography projects. My preference is to take on limited amount of wedding commissions per year to enable myself to keep a fresh, open-minded approach and genuine excitement about every single one I select to photograph, providing my clients with undivided attention and creative energy they deserve. [Brooklyn Wedding Photographer]

It all started off with the mesmerizing arts and the people culture of streets and cities. In college Emily picked up the camera and journeyed into the world of street and cultural photography. Even today on her spare time, Emily would take trips around the world, take the local buses, and walk through narrow streets to capture the colorful elements of the city streets. This interest built her affinity for a photojournalistic style, which comes into play in photographing weddings in her years as wedding photographer. Emily has been photographing weddings and engagements since 2007 and she co-started 1314 STUDIO in 2010. She serves the Houston area and her works has been featured in wedding guides & bridal blogs nationwide. [Houston Wedding Photographer]
Kevin Quinlan is an unobtrusive Delaware wedding photojournalist with a strong background in fine art. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fine Art/Photography from the University of Delaware. Conveying the authentic real emotions and happiness present on a bride and groom's wedding day is what originally drew Kevin to the photo-journalistic approach to wedding photography in 2003. Kevin has also worked as a commercial photographer with clients such as The University of Delaware, Philadelphia Magazine, and Delaware Today. [Delaware Wedding Photographer]
Michelle Peters began focusing on her multiple creativities at a young age, but did not get involved in the photography area until a pro photojournalist offered her a mentorship, after she finished her education at the Pennsylvania State University. She was guided into Wedding Photojournalism and loves to capture all the moments of your special day, while maintaining an unobtrusive view. Although she still likes to hide in her 'secret studio' and shoot macro, her joy is now shooting the joy of your wedding day! [State College Wedding Photographer]
When I obsessively started taking tons of photos back in high-school, I never imagined that years later I would have hundreds of amazing weddings in my portfolio. I've always followed my passions, and after spending many years DJing around the world, I wanted to create art that was more original. And I fell in love with photography. Choosing to shoot such glamorous and tear-jerking weddings (no, I am not immune, either) came naturally, partly because I am a bit of a romantic myself, and because I was always drawn to people’s real emotions. I love what I do so much that sometimes I forget it's work, because it’s different every time – no two weddings, locations or couples are the same, and this makes things incredibly exciting for me. Wedding photography has taken me all around the world. I've shot in about a dozen different countries on 4 different continents and had some unforgettable experiences in remote places like Mongolia, Phuket, India, and Belgium. So no matter where your wedding is, whether it's in a village on the other side of the world, an exotic beach, or an intimate backyard wedding in NYC, I'll be there with you. Memorable Images that Will Stay with You Forever I enjoy everything about weddings, but my favorite moments to document are when couples get ready, showing genuine, real emotions. The morning always feels unlike any other part of the day. And portrait sessions, when we can get creative, possibly take an adventurous pursuit to find a unique location, and make photos that can also standalone as works of art. Despite Personal Victories I Never Cease to Strive for Perfection I feel really proud of all the awards I have won over the years for my wedding work, and the shots that have been published in national wedding magazines, but I'm most proud when I can cook a tasty dinner for friends and family without the smoke alarm going off! My Aim - Creating Outstanding Lifetime Memories Feel free to explore STAK Studios, a kaleidoscope of smiles, tears of joy, and people dressed to the nines! If you are getting married, I would be truly honored to capture your big day, so get in touch and share your vision with me. We’ll make a great team and turn your wedding into a work of art. [Manhattan Wedding Photographer]

Edward Dye Photography is a wedding photography company based in New York, New York. Owner and photographer Edward has over 12 years of professional photography experience. With a background in photojournalism, he is skilled in capturing the best memories without disturbing the moments. Simplicity. Beauty. Contours of passion. Reality of Love. I embrace the art of photography - of freezing what is meant to pass in a millisecond. As a wedding and a fine art photographer I have received such compliments as AGWPJA's top 10 awards and the Harnisch Family Journalism scholarship in the recent years. I feel honored to have been able to witness and capture the unique wedding traditions across the United States and around the world, in locales ranging from the bright elegance of Florida and wondrous beauty of Yosemite, to Russia's crisp architecture and organic beauty of the Greek isles. Originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia, where my intrinsic connection to the arts was born, I came to New York to study journalism and photography. I have had the privilege of being a documentarian at diverse venues ranging from the beautiful Plaza Hotel, Mandarin Oriental, the Rainbow Room, the lovely Pierre Hotel, to the city's avant-garde gems like the Galapagous Art Space and the New Museum on the Bowery. My fine art and photojournalistic work has been exhibited at New York's Cielo, and has been published on Grace Ormonde's website, the Knot, Manhattan Bride, the Bride, and the New York Times' wedding section. From as early as I can remember I absorbed energies around me and when I would see someone happy or sad I automatically reflected the feeling in some way. The mechanism became ingrained in my photography and ultimately became the reason for me loving the craft- being able to evoke the truth of the moment and reflect the innate, uninhibited emotions of my subjects. Be it the intimate celebration in a garden of a home where one grew up as a child or the baroque fireworks of the grand ceremonies and intricate traditions, it is infinitely inspiring to me to see how unique each person is, and I greatly value the opportunity to be part of the bride and groom's celebration and the opportunity to create great memories. Michelle Varela is a New York based photographer with a main focus on weddings. Her work displays a spectrum ranging from documentary to intimate, stylized portraiture. Her interest in photography began at the age of 16 when she was in high school and since then she has been in love with the image making process. She attended School of Visual Arts and International Center of photography in New York City. Through this medium, she aims to grasp the fleeting anxieties, palpable passions, and nuanced intimacy that make a bride and groom remember their wedding for years to come. She makes sure they get an opportunity to re-live that visceral connection with each other and their loved ones every time they pick up their album. She gives the couple the glamour and elegance they expect, layering on the emotions that they indubitably get lost in during the event. [Manhattan Wedding Photographer]

He also has received awards for his recent works from the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International Association. Photography is the most beautiful profession and I live it intensely every day. I left a career in multinational telecommunications and marketing to live experiences that will never be able to be explained in words, I can only show you them through my images. Photojournalistic and artistic-styles are characteristic marks and are always present in my works. [Los Angeles Wedding Photographer]
I focus on capturing important moments in the most authentic and creative ways possible so my couples can be the rockstars that they are. None of my weddings look exactly the same because I treat each wedding like it should be: unique. Your wedding day isn't my personal photoshoot. I want the two of you to truly enjoy your engagement and wedding and live in those moments. In my spare time, you'll probably find me drinking some delicious craft beer, stuffing my face with local food, and spending time with my friends and family. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. My fiancé and I traveled to Ireland in 2017, western Canada in 2018, and toured all of the southern US in 2019. I love dogs but became more of a cat person when I adopted an adorable gray tabby cat named Chloe seven years ago. I'm an adrenaline junkie. I've been skydiving, ziplining, whitewater rafting, and much more. I live for the thrill! [Harrisburg Wedding Photographer]
I cannot think of any other medium that so greatly encompasses preservation, appreciation, gratitude, and documentation the way that photography does. Photographs have power. They can transport you to another time, they can conjure a once vivid memory after it fades, they can show you what love looks like and at the very least, they can record a moment or an image of something you never want to forget. The magnitude of family photography is what interests me. Whether an engagement, a proposal, a wedding, a new baby, an immediate or extended family, what is happening right now is important and I want to record it for you. I strive to make images that are real, raw, emotive, artistic, classic and genuine and in a few years, or in many years, my hope is that they will be waiting for you when you want to recall the memories that you are making right now. I earned my BFA in photography from the University of Delaware and I have been photographing weddings and families professionally for over 13 years in Philadelphia, New York, and surrounding areas. I've learned that it's not about being in the right place at the right time, it's about being open to everything that is happening around me. The magic is always in the details and in the small moments that could get overlooked. My work has been recognized by Philadelphia Wedding Magazine, The Knot magazine, Lehigh Valley Style magazine, Style Me Pretty, and multiple online wedding resources. I am passionate about photographing your love story for you, for your family and for future generations to appreciate, and in doing it in such a way that the energy and love within your images can be felt for the rest of time. [Philadelphia Wedding Photographer]
I started my career after I graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2011. I received my BFA in Photography and specifically worked on portraiture and interiors during my years in college. This obviously translated to my eventual career perfectly. Before I made the jump into being a full-time wedding photographer, I worked as a studio photographer for the furniture and antique gallery Carlton Hobbs, was an intern photographer for Brooklyn Museum, and was a gallery assistant at BRIC Contemporary Art, all the while pursuing my dream of getting my wedding photography business off the ground. It was a lot of work, but so worth it. Now, I am residing in the Hudson Valley, and split my time between the Hudson Valley and New York City. I have captured many different types of weddings all over the East Coast, and relish in the diversity I get to experience and document. I’ve photographed weddings on top of mountains, on the beach, in hotel rooms, and at some of the most glamorous venues you could imagine - it never gets old, and I love seeing the ways my clients make their day special. I am a firm believer in paying it forward, and donate a portion of my package price to charity. [New York City - Metro Wedding Photographer]

RAVES, REVIEWS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Hi Ed, Choosing you as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The level of dedication and precision you exhibits when taking pictures is unparalleled. During our engagement shoot, you were upbeat and excited the whole day, even when we became tired (it's a long day!). You knew the best places to take pictures and exactly how to catch the light to make each shot perfect. As we were walking through Central Park, you would stop us randomly because you were ALWAYS looking for a great picture. You brings a lot of joy to your work, which is inspiring. Leading up to the wedding, You were incredibly professional and always made yourself available, whether for a venue walk-through or just a call to figure out details. We had two days of wedding events and you was so excited to be part of both - you was literally everywhere taking pictures and documenting our wedding weekend, but without us even noticing you being there. You were also full of great ideas for where to stand to get the best view of our venues. You also gives a lot - you doesn't care how long the day takes, you are there the entire time. Our wedding day was incredibly long, but you was happy and energetic all day long - you made our families smile and worked to get the best out of each of our family members. And when we received the pictures, we were blown away. They are all so incredibly beautiful. You really captured the best moments of our day without us looking posed. You took so many great shots, it's hard to choose which ones we want to include in our album. We are so grateful for your amazing services and will highly recommend you for any event. Your energy and sheer passion for your work was evident throughout our wedding. Thank you, Edward!!
My cousin said to me, “Whatever you paid your photographer, double it.” Others told us that they were the best wedding pictures they’d ever seen. We received our full gallery a month after the wedding, which was crazy fast. We couldn’t be happier!!
Dear Ed, Your photos are incredible!! Thank You so much for turning our special day into a beautiful memory! As we are looking at your shots, we are reliving all the nuances of our Wedding Day as if we are still present at last Saturday's celebration. Your pictures are that good! We shared these photos with our friends and family and they all love them so much! Please thank Larry, your 2nd photographer, as well as your assistant for helping you capture our Wedding Day in such an unforgettable way!
You and your entire crew were so phenomenal yesterday. Thank you so much for all your help and being so dedicated and helpful and cheerful and energetic. When the weather opened up out of nowhere, it was a shock and I didn't see how the day was going to turn around. But you guys made it so nice and put so much effort into getting us the shots we were hoping for despite the curveball. I just wanted to extend a big thank you and let you know how much we appreciated it.
Thank you so much William! I just took a quick spin through and they are beautiful! Again, super big thank you. Pete and I know how early you came and how late you worked and we REALLY appreciate it. The pictures are beautiful and it's so wonderful having these moments captured forever. You were a pleasure to work with and I plan to recommend you to anyone who asks.
Yuliya you are not only a visionary but one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Out of all the vendors we worked with you were the most reliable and responsive. I completely trusted your work as soon as I saw your portfolio, and you didn't disappoint. We still have people complimenting us on our engagement and wedding photos and I always tell them it was thanks to Yuliya. You are daring and have a great eye for color, beauty and amazing action shots. You have a great photojournalist style, but you are also able to take more traditional photos if the wedding party asks for them. You and your partner Michelle were great to work with during our special day. Marina & Senya
Hi Edward, Having you as our wedding photographer was one of the best choices we made for our wedding day! You are not only professional, reliable, and prompt in your correspondence, you creates absolutely stunning photographic compositions. You captured the natural beauty of the moments on our special day. You artistically crafted the lighting and contrast to make each photo exude magic, in your unique style. You captured each shot that we desired. You will get the right angle AT ALL COSTS! And this means that he will jump, step, climb- even dash into the street… whatever you needs to do to get the right shot! All my wedding guests were captured in the shots, and this was quite a feat, considering how many people attended! Also, trust in your artistic vision, as you can make the most cluttered of backgrounds into something absolutely spectacular! You are so talented with your craft, and knowledgeable about your equipment and matches the photographic environment with the required lens and lighting. We were given quite a few preview photos a day or two after the wedding, and the rest of the shots came in a few weeks later. Overall, we were beyond satisfied to have you to photograph our wedding!
