The WPJA contest judges presented George Wong, a Singapore wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- What would be a nice, but fairly routine picture of the groom kissing the bride becomes a comical departure when a child gets down on all fours to find the best view of the action. Perfectly composed and captured. The focus of everyone in this photo is on the bride and groom but the viewer can not help but concentrate on the family. Everyone in the photo is so genuinely happy for the couple yet the couple is so calm. This is a great moment and composition. Dynamic crop with bride and groom in foreground - but the expressions on the kids behind them are priceless. Love the little girl blocking her eyes!
