Contest Judges
DAVID LEESON
David Leeson has been a staff photographer for The Dallas Morning News since 1984. In 2004, he was a Pulitzer Prize Winner for his photographs depicting the violence and poignancy of the war with Iraq. In 1985, Leeson was also a Pulitzer finalist for his photo coverage of apartheid in South Africa. In 1986, he lived on the streets of Dallas with the homeless for two months. BARRY CHIN
Barry Chin has been a staff photographer at the Boston Globe since 1987. Prior to working at the Globe he was a staff photographer for the Boston Herald. Barry has covered the 1992, 2002 and 2004 Olympic games. Read more
GLEN WEXLER
According to Eric Idle of Monty Python, Glen Wexler is, "A seven-foot Scotsman with a wooden leg whom I met Frog Rolling on an Eskimo trip in Northern Greenland." Believe what you will. That's the point. Wexler's images have taken the viewer deep into make-believe worlds that look real. His signature style of "improbable realities" has earned an international client base and the following of photography collectors. Read more
SUSAN WALSH
Susan Walsh has worked as a staff photographer for the Associated Press for the last 21 years covering everything from Presidents to Patriots -- the ones from New England, of course! In 1999, Walsh was part of the Associated Press team to win the Pulitzer Prize. Most recently, Walsh served as president of the White House News Photographers Association (www.whnpa.org) from 2001 to 2006. Read more
TORSTEN KJELLSTRAND
Torsten Kjellstrand is a staff photojournalist at The Oregonian. He previously worked as a staff photojournalist at The Herald in Jasper, Indiana and at The Spokesman-Review in Spokane, Washington. In 1995, he was named POY Newspaper Photographer of the Year. He was a Knight Fellow at Stanford University in 2003-4. Torsten graduated from Carleton College with an English degree, after which he spent a year at Uppsala University studying literature as a Fulbright Scholar. Read more
