Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can couples find reviews of London wedding photographers?
A: We call them Client Letters. At the WPJA, we decided more than 20 years ago to avoid incorporating those third-person testimonials and endorsements that are found all too often in advertisements. Instead, we elevated our listings with the use of Client Letters, which represent the actual words and feelings of the clients who booked those London wedding photographers for their own wedding.
Q: Where can I find a photographer for a short-notice, small London wedding?
A: There are many WPJA photographers who are able to help you out at a moment's notice. We understand that sometimes love happens and there's simply no time to lose. We can ensure that you can get married as quickly as possible — and have incredible photographs to remember your London wedding day by.
Q: Can a wedding photojournalist create artistic portraits on my London wedding day?
A: While wedding photojournalists strive to capture candid moments on the wedding day, our photographers also are skilled artists who can compose powerful portraits. If you have a specific vision of what types of images you want from your wedding day, look at the top-ranked London wedding photographers who have earned Artistic Guild awards for portrait and detail images.

Traditionally speaking, often times it is the couple’s families who help pay for their wedding. However, unfortunately that’s just not possible for everyone, especially these days when the cost of weddings can quickly and easily get out of control. Some couples find...Read more

Kate, My now husband David and I talked to several wedding photographers before enthusiastically choosing you. We were immediately moved by your infectious love for weddings and wedding photography; no nonsense attitude to talking about all things wedding-related (there is no pretense about you whatsoever); and, your proven track record of absolutely gorgeous wedding photography that reflects a commitment to moving away from the staged stock photo-style of wedding photography reminiscent of a different era. Ultimately, however, you drew us in with your down to earth personality; we knew we’d be gaining a friend a teammate in this crazy process in addition to a photographer. And, let’s face it, from one fellow Brit to another, your British heritage did not hurt either! ;-) I was surprised by how much we needed you at the wedding. We had the privilege of working with you ahead of the wedding with some engagement photos (which I highly recommend), and we definitely got to know each other then. As a result, I was so happy to see you again at the wedding, and was reassured by the quality of the engagement photos that you’d do an excellent job again at the wedding. What I didn’t realize was how much my family and friends would also love you! And you captured photos that are just so magical…I don’t think we could have asked for more, and that was surprising!

Working with you was fantastic - you are very professional, whilst still being very approachable and great fun. Your photos of our wedding in Weymouth last October are absolutely stunning and everything we'd hoped for and more. We opted for the top tier package and we're really glad we did - made things so much easier and less stressful on the day - not having to worry about if you captured everything (since you brought along a 2nd photographer) and you were there until the wee hours too. Before the wedding day we met up with you over a few pints and explained our hopes & ideas for the day which you took on board and wove into your own style. What was captured was all the beautiful little natural moments that we wanted, plus all the big formal photos too. Couldn't have asked for more! You also attended the wedding in a great suit, so blended right in and didn't make anyone feel awkward or intruded upon. So glad we picked you for our photos that'll be hung on our walls, and our family's walls for many many years to come smile emoticon
