I have been a photographer for almost half my life. It all started with a photography class in high school that got me seeing light, shape, pattern and action in the world. Then at Vassar College, my eyes were further attuned to these things through the study of art history. Later, I came to photography from a more technical side while taking classes at the New England School of Photography. Most importantly, traveling throughout my life with my camera has shaped my vision and continues to train my eyes, compelling me to capture a story as it unfolds or the beauty of a place. Four years ago, while living in Sydney, Australia, I worked for a photographer who threw me into the fire, so to speak, sending me on my first wedding shoot alone.
