Samo was proclaimed a "Slovenian Photographer of the year 2009" by winning the most important photographic contest in Slovenia - "Photography on the year 2009" by Emzin with "Wedding guests" series. He has a bachelor of Architectural Engineering and is active in the fields of architecture, design and photography. He is a husband and father of two children and a former photojournalist.

Samo has held several photo exhibitions; the last independent one, entitled 'For Granny' was held in Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He has been photographing for 16 years. Creating a good wedding photo story is a special kind of pleasure for him.
