Marco Ficili attended photographic schools and studios both in Milano and Firenze. His passion for photography leads him to get in contact with the most interesting artistic and cultural environments. In 2000, Marco started what may have been the first photojournalistic wedding photography business in the city and quickly carved a niche amongst more traditional portrait photographers. Truth and spontaneity are the studio passwords. His philosophy breaks down with the traditional wedding photography schemes, in order to focus the attention back to the event and to the protagonists, where the photographer tells the story through the camera, without interfering. An act of sincerity.
He is often requested on events and weddings as he stands out for his elegant and both evocative style and for his ability of telling a story through his pictures. Taking up the wedding photojournalism style with enthusiasm, Marco captures the spontaneity of the event. He also travels for weddings events all over Italy and Europe and has received numerous photography awards from the WPJA: “Wedding Photojournalist Association”, whose he is also a member. Between 2007 and 2008 Marco won the first and third places in the “Ceremony” and “Details” categories in the annual WPJA contests. In 2008 he took part in the “Creative quality in Professional Photography Award” (Italian Association of Professional Photographers), announced by TAU VISUAL, winning the first place in the “Private images” category. This prestigious award has many high renown people in the publishing, photography and mass media world in its panel. Marco's pictures are often published in important wedding magazines, such us White Sposa, Vogue Sposa.
