The story of your wedding is one that you will remember for the rest of your life. I approach that story from a documentary perspective...th an artistic vision.
I went to the University of Missouri for my masters in Photojournalism. It is one of the best schools in the country to learn how to tell stories with photographs. From the first day, I fell in love with taking pictures. After graduating I went on to work for the Grand Rapids Press in Michigan, the Bellingham Herald in Washington state, and finally I landed at the Concord Monitor in New Hampshire. I am currently a staff photographer at the Monitor.
I turned 30 years old this year, but I still like to ride the grocery cart through the parking lot on the way back to my car after shopping.
I have received multiple awards for my photojournalism work from the National Press Photographer's Association and the College Photographer of the Year Competition.
But honestly, none of the above really matters. What matters is how much I smile while I'm shooting and how much fun it is to work with people who are in love. I have been shooting weddings for the last three years, and I've never had more fun taking pictures.Read More

My interest in photography was ignited when I was a teenager growing up in Marietta, Georgia. I learned how to operate my first manual...R camera and was immediately hooked, and found myself spending most of my time either taking pictures or developing them in the darkroom.
Drawn to the breathtaking panoramas of the Northeast, I attended Bennington College in Vermont for their fine art photography program. Four years later, in 2001, I left with a B.A. in photography and my first foray into the realm of professional wedding photography. Through Bennington's internship program I had been able to work for two months at Swing Studio in Atlanta. This was an enlightening experience, ultimately leading me to my focus on wedding photography. Eager to learn more, I continued my education with apprenticeships in Providence and Sacramento, with Diana Miller. Since then, I have had the privilege of photographing weddings across the country, from California to Maine.
I have been happily married to my husband, and occasional second-shooter, Tom, since 2009. Being a recent bride myself, I understand what a whirlwind the big day will be, and want to capture all of those special moments for couples to look back on for years to come.Read More

Formal training at Bowdoin College and Brown University. Brian's development began while working with National Geographic photographer...len Rowell in western Tibet, Nepal and India. The techniques developed were simple: be consistently respectful, unobtrusive and friendly. Brian quietly charmed his way in and out of Chinese jails, through rioting civil servants in Kathmandu and was welcomed to photograph more prohibited elements of real daily life then most ever get access to. Brian learned there that a quick smile, a respectful nod and an unobtrusive approach can create incredible photographic opportunities.
Brian continued to take on various editorial assignments throughout Asia, Central America, Canada and The United States. He has covered everything from sea turtle rescue efforts in Costa Rica to documenting the impacts of logging in British Columbia. His work appears in a variety of publications including books by Random House, as well as regional and national magazines.
But how and why weddings? At Brian's own Hawaiian beachside wedding, he was amazed by how obtrusive his otherwise incredibly talented photographer was and thought that there had to be a better way. It's his incredible creativity, quick sense of quiet humor and commitment to capturing the real essence of a wedding that make his photographs unique and cherished. With studios in San Francisco and Maine, Brian teaches photography workshops throughout the United States and supports destination weddings worldwide.Read More

I have had a passion for photography ever since I was young. Many years ago, I was asked to photograph a family member's wedding. When...ople saw the images, they were amazed. I was then asked to shoot for a friend, and the requests began to grow. So I left my formal education and job as a scientist to pursue this avenue.
Applying my professional background as a scientist, I believe has been a big advantage as a photographer. I look at my environment, people, and the world much more critically. I have learned in my science training to think several steps ahead and that has been a great asset as a wedding photographer, being able to anticipate.
Having spent time photographing in places as far away as the People's Republic of China, the passion has grown deeper and deeper. I formally started my photography business in 2006 and haven't looked back. Read More
