Q. HOW DO I ADD THE CALENDAR FEATURE TO MY LISTING?
Your personal WPJA availability calendar may be activated simply by logging in on the
Member Login page and then clicking on the Manage Calendar link in the left navigation.
To ensure that potential clients can learn about your availability as easily as they would access the availability information of other WPJA members, we encourage everyone to take
advantage of this feature. After all, you can always turn the calendar off with one click of a button.
Once you activate the calendar, an icon will appear next to your listing(s) on the site.
Couples typically begin their search for a photographer by sending out e-mails or making phone calls requesting services for their wedding date. In some cases the date is already
booked and the photographer, out of professional obligation, then has to respond with his/her lack of availability for that date. This back-and-forth between couples and photographers,
which consumes time on both ends, is eliminated by using an online availability calendar.

Q. HOW DO I ADD ROLLOVER TEXT TO MY LISTING?
The rollover function allows site visitors to obtain brief, but insightful professional information about you when they roll their mouse cursor over your listing(s). At the top of the
rollover text box will be your WPJA stylized name, followed by details about your regional/geographical base of operations, and then a short block of biographical text regarding you
and/or your business. The rollover text will also include any additional regional, international or destination wedding locations that you have added to your listing(s). See the next
section below for more information.
Please go to the Members Only Rollover Text page to submit your biographical text.
The WPJA has also published a WedPix article that explains the value of
writing a solid wedding photographer bio.

Q. HOW DO I OBTAIN ADDITIONAL REGIONAL LISTINGS?
The WPJA makes provision for the inevitable need within the wedding photography industry for travel. Members' yearly membership fees automatically include one listing in their home
area. Members interested in additional regional, international and/or destination listings may pay $60. USD a year for each additional location. This amount will be prorated at $5. USD
per month for partial-year listings.
Members are limited to five additional regional and/or international listings. Some of the larger U.S. states, such as California, Texas and New York have been split up. Having a
'multiple-regions listing' within the SAME state (as in the case of these three larger states) still counts as one state; however each of the sublistings requires the additional fee
discussed above. There is no limit to the number of destination wedding locations a member can purchase.
Please go to the Members Only Destination Wedding Listing Text page to submit your text.

Q. HOW DO I OBTAIN THE 'FILM NEGATIVES ICON'?
The WPJA provides the 'film negatives icon' to identify members who provide film negatives in their packages or make the wedding negatives available to their clients in some
other way. This feature is NOT available for 'digital only' members.
|
Q. HOW DO I OBTAIN THE 'HI-RES. CDs/DVDs ICON'?
The WPJA displays the 'Hi-Res.CD/DVD icon' for members who burn Hi-Res. wedding images to CD or DVD for their clients. File sizes should be large enough to enable clients to
enlarge and reprint on their own.
|
Q. HOW DO I OBTAIN THE 'DIGITAL CAMERA ICON'?
Many WPJA members who are embracing digital photography while still shooting some film, may show the 'digital camera icon' next to their listing(s) for this purpose.
|
Q. HOW DO I OBTAIN THE 'DIGITAL-ONLY CAMERA ICON'?
Members who only shoot digital photography at weddings get the 'digital-ONLY camera icon' next to their listing. The 'film negatives icon' is not available if a member displays
the 'digital-ONLY camera icon'.
