Whatever you are doing with the WPJA web site is working great. I always come up very high on search engines. It really helps out. My girlfriend and I were talking the other day and I said I really don't think I would have made it without the WPJA web site. I know I'd be doing weddings a lot more traditional without the WPJA and I'd be a lot less happy. With the WPJA I can shoot weddings and still enjoy the art of photojournalism and actually get paid what a professional should get paid.

WPJA PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR

The WPJA proudly recognizes the Photographer of the Year (POY), that member holding the most Standard Contest points within the Standard Categories at the end of each year. This recipient is recognized with the engraving of his or her name permanently on the perpetually Traveling Trophy. Each December, this trophy is returned to the WPJA and awarded to their successor the following February.

BRIDES Magazine / WPJA Wedding Photo Competition

BRIDES MAGAZINE & the Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly present a Wedding Photojournalism Contest.

The WPJA/BRIDES Wedding Photojournalism Contest spotlights the finest images from the best wedding photojournalists on the pages of one of the most world-renowned wedding publications and the web sites of the WPJA and BRIDES.

For most brides and grooms, wedding photojournalism is no longer a trendy alternative to traditional wedding day photo-coverage; rather, it is mainstream wedding photography. The WPJA has been leading the way in promoting and rewarding photographers who excel in capturing the un-styled and un-scripted moments of the wedding day. More and more couples are seeking out the top wedding photojournalists in the world through the WPJA web site.

  D-65 DIGITAL WORKFLOW WORKSHOPS

The D-65 workshops teach bulletproof techniques to increase workflow productivity and save time. These workshops demonstrate ways to automate, search, archive, present and deliver the zillions of images todays photographers accumulate. Attendees will learn to create files perfect for reproduction; tagged, named, sized and sharpened correctly, along with attaching the appropriate metadata and keywords. You will learn the correct way to keep your images organized, and archived. The workshops are intensive, and focus on optimizing digital photography -- from input to output.
