Groom Getting Ready

There’s a calm, honest serenity to this picture of what appears to be some father/son time together before the ceremony. The expressions and light speak volumes.
A very tender and touching moment between (presumably) father and son. The reaching around from behind, the expression on the younger man’s face and the beautiful light all work together to make this an outstanding image.

Very nice light on the grooms face and love the juxtaposition of the three gentleman helping and the one gazing out the window in the background. Could use just a little more detail in the blacks but it is nice that the faces are opened up enough to still carry detail.
What a great shot of the groom being attended to -- I was drawn in by this picture immediately. The light that illuminates the groom, the seriousness of the tone all in concert with the layering of the picture is wonderful.

Great moment that captures the spontaneity of getting ready. There is good detail in the shadow right side of the image and good detail in the highlight left side of the image. The composition is very nice bought together by the touch of brown on the left side matching the colors on the right.

I chose this photo for its unusual nature. I can't tell exactly what's going on, but I loved the energy and the moment of the fellow jumping in the air in the street.

Another classic moment captured. You can sympathize with the groom as the collar is buttoned tight. Good detail in the whites and clean composition.
It’s the great moment between brothers or friends that makes this a terrific photograph. The nice high-key light emphasizes the joyous moment.

A sweet moment, the body language and angle here really works.
Nice backlight isolating a good private moment between groom and child. The connection between them is established by the child looking up at the man while he finishes getting ready.

This one’s fun, the groom’s expression is great and he’s the center of the swirling universe here.

Boys will be boys and these guys are enjoying their time together getting ready -- even in silhouette you know they’re old friends that are glad to be together. Good timing and use of light here.

I loved this photo of the groom learning how to tie his tie from a YouTube video. THAT will be a priceless photo in 50 years.

The enigmatic expression on this groom’s face is what makes this photograph interesting. He makes a final adjustment to his tie as he looks at himself – the expression could be confidence, resolution….The overall darkness of the image and negative space lends some mystery.
