At one a.m. on day five of this Sikh wedding, the party was still going strong. The groom, flanked by friends, jumped on a table to sing along to a Bollywood favorite, while smoke machines puffed away. Standing in the middle of the dance floor, Goodman kept shooting despite a jostling camera, and didn’t realize she’d gotten this picture until the next day. Looking like a movie set, the perfect timing exhibited in this photo is illustrated by the body motion and facial expression in each “actor” in this scene…a really perfect moment.

We love that this looks like a traditional slow dance at a reception except for the man who is moved to stand on a chair and throw his hands up in the center of it all. Classic, timeless image. Peak emotion of the man leaps from the crowded dance floor providing juxtaposition with the other more subdued guests. A wonderful photograph.

The bride’s blissful facial expression shows that there is nowhere else she’d rather be at this moment than right where she is. Enchanting expression of bliss. The couple appears in complete harmony and the background adds to the mood.

The subdued color scheme of this image draws the viewer’s attention to the movement of the bride’s skirt. It is a dramatic and romantic photograph. Sexy photo. Tonal quality and graphic elements work together to create a sensual ambiance.

Not everything has to be proper at a wedding—after all, it’s a party! That’s what the photographer has captured in this photograph.

The photographer shows the bride caught up in both the moment and the music. Her raised arms seem to radiate out.

We want to be at this party! We also REALLY want to know how these three men ended up with paper bags on their heads. Talk about a photo that makes you wonder! I don't know what the purpose of the bags on their heads was, but just the spectacle of it makes me laugh. The framing, body language and sheer idiocy of the photo make it a winner!

This bride and groom take the phrase “get down” to a literal level, as the photographer captures them laying humorously on the dance floor with their feet in the air.

The photographer catches the man mid-laugh, the girl mid-clap, and the bride smiling away.

This energetic guest has no qualms about “letting loose” at the reception. Mid-jump and clearly feeling the music, his face is priceless! Who doesn’t know this brother/son/uncle/friend in a family? Always first on the dance floor, and unafraid to do anything, this guy provides a tremendous amount of energy in this well-constructed photo.
