Emotion

There never seems to be a lack of emotion at any wedding but capturing it can be a challenge. That's what makes this such a wonderful image - being in the right place at the right time, combined with a perfect entry point all leading to a galloping bride and groom.

Great expressions on the girls' faces and the body language with their hands made this one work. Could be toned better and cropped a little from the top and right to rid the frame of slight element distractions.

One can only guess that the bride is hearing something brand new about the groom that he wasn't planning on telling her. Great faces on both the bride and groom.

The telephoto lens captures the subtle expression on the face of the bride and maid of honor. A difficult picture to make technically because of the bright sunlight in the background window. The maid of honor's hand on face is framed nicely between the glasses; a step in either direction and this picture wouldn't have worked.

What makes this photo is that the photographer didn't just zoom in on the woman crying. You see that she is turned away from what the rest of the party is watching - the couple walking towards them. I like seeing the couple in the background. Makes for a great photo.

Wonderful moment. You rode with the bride and you made the most of that chance. Full of sparkle.

The weighty composition and space given to subjects allows the emotional body language to be amplified as your eye easily finds it's way into this endearing moment.

Though I believe the framing could be slightly more successful on this image, the tenderness of the moment far outweighs my technical concerns.

Very wonderful and tender moment. Moody and very full of 'mom and daughter' (assumed) emotion.

Nice reaction from the mom (assumed) on her first seeing the bride in her dress. The half-open door and her hand still on the doorknob tells you this is the exact first instant she's seeing her. It probably wasn't funny but her expression makes me laugh.

A simple but effective and sharply focused telephoto shot captures the emotion of the bride with furrowed brow, tears in eye and pursed lips

Both faces tell the story - the bride calming herself down and the father (assumed) looking towards the heavens.

In a moment which might have gone unnoticed, this little picture really captures the exhale of excitement. Sometimes less is more.

Isn't it great to be a young flower girl? This laugh shows so well how great a time this girl is having (and the wedding hasn't even begun). The father/guy's expression doesn't match the flower girl and I'd be tempted to crop his face completely out to further accentuate the girl's laugh.

Beautiful, very real moment of the two of them. The black and white is sharp and elegant here.

A trio of girls all crying at the same time. The photo captured just the right moment when they all put hands and tissues to face. The girl in the background behind the middle girl is a bit distracting.

Though the framing seems to be auto focus lazy, there is no denying the exuberance of the emotion caught at it's peak.

Getting the parents choked up...very nice. I would've cropped the arm on the right - it doesn't add to the photo because you don't know if it's a groomsman or the groom or someone else in the party
