This is a classic scene of beauty, a great moment of tradition as composition, lighting and a strong moment in time come together as an icon of the wedding bridal party. Beautiful soft light showcases a poignant scene. A beautiful composed shot of a moment before the ceremony begins; this photo is lit in such a way that it gives a sense of intimacy to these ladies-in-waiting. Pretty light, not your 'standard' situation, love the little girls, who are bored but trying to be good. The soft daylight and silhouettes of the group make this image so inviting. The lines of the curtains reflects the lines of the dresses.

It's a given that trampolines offer the opportunity to make good pictures. But they usually don't include men in suits. The photographer took advantage of this somewhat strange combination of fashion and place to make a fun and energetic photo. The creative tension caused by the tight crop of the man-in-the-middle's head contributes to the success of the image, as does his expression, which melds anxiety and excitement and joy. Very funny. Great crop. Sense the energy. Love that the main figure's head gets cropped so that he looks like he's bouncing off page.

This just cracks me up, a perfect moment on each and every subject in this endearing and timeless moment. The bridesmaids are not even at the ceremony yet but they are already crying. This photo captures a sweet moment between the women and the bride that seems to be outside the frame. This photo gives the viewer so much to look at yet allows you to wonder what just happened and what they are looking at. Very emotional moment captured. Tight shot adds to the emotional depth of image

The composition of this photo is amazing. The richness in color of the fabrics frames the white of the bride's dress and the black of the boy's suit. His eye contact is direct and draws the viewer in. The placement of the women's arms shows a sense of ease and friendship even though you cannot see their expressions. While most portraits would focus on the bride and her party, this picture tells the story of a colorful Indian wedding by making the young, tuxedoed ring bearer, the star. The tight crop illustrates the merging of the two cultures, with family members in saris and the bride in her white dress.

This picture looks like a Gary Winogrand. Exquisitely composed street scene in which the subjects are each in their own world, unaware of the intrusion of the camera. The body language is perfect and suggests that everybody but the bride and groom are simply along for the ride. This photo is rich with information. Each person is occupied in thought or conversation. They seem to be lined up for a bus but their clothing tells you otherwise. The 'One Way' sign brings your eye to the right side of the photo that shows a sense of place. There is a real break in the photo from the anticipation of the people and the everyday aspect of the city. Nice composition. Very whimsical. The juxtaposition of the One-Way sign over the guests who are almost all facing the opposite way is perfect.

An evocative, almost bucolic scene that lovingly captures tenderness and frailty and hope as the two women slowly make their way to the group ahead of them. Love the timeless of this image. Very sweet.

An unexpected view of (presumably) the men of the wedding party. The open sky and shadows highlight the men who are lost in their own thoughts, yet connected by their attire and positioning in the photo. Quiet and somber and I love the sculptural aspect of the hats against the sky. Beautiful, artful shot. The boys in shadow and the landscape (so colorful) in the background make a stunning composition. Nice angle.

The composition of this photo is clever. The photographer successfully uses the black and white medium. The smoke delicately fills the negative space while the black and white tuxedos create shapes. The groomsmen are all so content. It is a great moment.

Lively, animated photograph with bridal party not afraid of a little dirt. Composition keeps the eye moving within the frame to each expressive face. This is such a fun moment. The bridal party is still separated into the bride and groom's sides but in an unexpected, very real moment. Very candid moment - feels real. Love that the bride has the ball and they are all dressed up still in their wedding clothes.

Barefoot, relaxed, happy - love to see the bridal party 'stripped down' to just being friends.
