  • Notice how compositional space is the primary foundation for the primary detail - the trail of flowers on a river of river rocks. The young ladies act as a leading line directly to the main visualization of the image - the largest grouping of flowers. The stones at the top of the image form a frame that both helps lead us to the girls and helps prevent the eye from wandering upward. That leaves us with one primary visual action as our eyes drift along the trail. Not to mention that this image presents a wistful moment.
