10th place in Reflections
The WPJA contest judges presented Minnow Park, a New York, United States wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

Photographer's Comment
It was a quiet moment in the beginning of the day at the bride's home. You could feel the comfort and intimacy in the air. There was this mirror on the floor, one that was probably meant to be hung a while ago but they never got around to doing it. Instead, it became a perfect frame to take photos of her getting ready. The big window to the left and the colors of the wall and floor make this image one of my favorite.
