  • A mundane task is made mysterious and compelling by the diaphanous beauty of the veil and the grace with which the woman holds and steams it. The quality of light and choice of angle contribute greatly to the effectiveness of the image. This photograph looks like an Oriental silk painting. It's gracefully composed in the way her arms parallel the edges of the lacey veil. I might have cropped the doorknob. Pretty composition of the sheer veiling being gently lifted by a pensive woman. It took a few looks to reveal that what she's doing is actually steaming, and not simply reflecting on the beauty of the veil. Beautiful moment captured. Nice light and softness. Very emotional moment along with bride. The light coming through the lace makes this so pretty.
