Light, color moment and a wonderful mix of all these elements when a bride is lifted above the crowd make me want to be there. Like all good photographs, this one draws you in and you want to see more.

This was just one of those funny moments in life. We know exactly what is going on and being near the wedding cake adds another level of humor to the photo. I do think that the photo would have been even stronger with some cropping on the right hand side.

This was one of the hardest categories as there were so many very nice images. This photo has a lot going for it, a great moment accented by the leaping future Lothario going after what I stupidly assumed was a female's target.

How many times have we seen this scenario? But this time everything works, the timing, the composition and the lens choice. The faces just pop out of the frame.

I like the moment happening in this frame, and it makes me wish I was there to hear what was being said. A very good job of framing and anticipation of the moment on behalf of the photographer. The tilted camera composition is nicely done to enhance the moment going on.

What do they see in that cake? Photographs ask a lot of questions. Great split-frame composition.

I like the moment going on here. My guess was that this photographer saw an interesting perspective, and came away with an image with a very nice moment. Looks like a very nice surprise, and I'm glad the photographer was ready for it when it happened.

When the groom starts French kissing the groomsman on the mouth while his arm is around his new bride you need to capture that moment as well as this photographer did. And I'm glad you did, it's a very funny reception moment, you can almost feel the night's almost over and everyone's had a little too much to drink.

UDGES COMMENTS: Father-in-Law's? Friends? It doesn't matter, as these guys personify a memory of what a wedding reception's energy should be. Backlit smoke helps so much on this one, along with the two guys both leaning back and laughing at their joke/moment/recollection.

Unique and humorous approach to what's become a photographic cliché.

This photographer never forgot to keep an eye on his/her subjects. While other photographers may have been focusing on other parts of the reception, this one stayed close and captured a moment that the groom may never be able to live down!

Anyone could make a photo of a group of guys getting ready to do shots. However, the slow shutter gives the photo motion and extra energy. Plus, including the priest in the frame adds a humorous juxtaposition.

I give it to the photographer in regards to seeing this beautiful scene, in total, and then capturing the moment..made magical by the small amount of additional light on the couples face. Wish I'd shot this one.

This image has a real feel of the mood of the reception. The bride is well framed by the curve of the arm and the happy faces extend to the people in the back as well.
