What a stunning image. The passenger on the left is seemingly oblivious to the couple in the middle of their kiss on the subway train. The soft reflections in the windows give the picture a dream-like feel as does the use of black-and-white.

This image tells me so much with such efficiency and style. They're on different journeys now, these five friends, for better or worse. Using a dramatic line and an enigmatic tableau, the photographer impeccably portrays a complex truth simply and artfully.

The photographer captures a scene of dramatic surrender, two people giving themselves over to one another completely while even the earth and seas and sky conspire to impassion the moment. She is so unabashedly his and he so very tenderly hers. Not even their clothes belie the truth and elegance of this kiss. There is no formality here, only the raw force of love.

Great moment. The leading lines combined with the perspective and wonderful light help make this a winning photo.

I really like the lighting and the great straight-forward quality to this picture. She had the perfect face for this kind of portrait. Nice choices made by the photographer- simple but very compelling

The stark edginess of the photo, the dark city street, the blurred cars, the high contrast seem to capture the essence of the somewhat stiff, in-your-face cool, night-shaded bride and groom. It's a successful marriage of environment and personality.

This is classically elegant yet modern. There's a creative tension created by the tight crop, and the groom's dark hair and suit serve to accentuate the bride's pale beauty.

Another fantastic picture. The bride and groom being perfectly still with their wedding party walking circles around them puts them truly at the center of their own little world. The warm color and strong graphics of the stairwell also enhance the picture.

Another example of the photographer using good compositional choice and the right angle and lighting for her face. This is a photo the couple will cherish but so will the photographer for a great moment incorporated in a portrait. It just feels good!

It's all about contrast. The white rivets contrast with the black siding creating a nice graphic and the bride's white dress contrasting with the black siding really separates the two. The expression of the bride and her body language give it a carefree look.
