Every Colorado elopement photographer has the same magical backdrop. But we’re all bringing our own, different magic from behind the camera. I'm Nina Larsen Reed, a born-and-raised Norwegian who moved to the mountains of Colorado in 2010 and fell in love hard. I fell in love with the boundless blue skies, the Rocky Mountain hiking trails, and with a splitboarder named Justin. And as I spent more time exploring Colorado, I realized how much I love sharing this playground I call home with couples like you. I’m not going to tell you that my photos are better than anyone else’s. What I can tell you? That I’ve photographed more than 150 couples across the Rocky Mountains. That I help my couples plan their dream elopements and weddings in a place I know and love. That these mountains still make me say “Can you believe this is real life?!” If you choose me, you’ll be so much more than a date on my calendar and I want to be so much more than a stranger with a camera. I don’t care where you’re getting married or how many people will be there. All I care about is that you’re excited about how you’re getting married and that you can trust me to show that excitement through my photos. (Oh and let’s get one thing super clear: Love is love, and I’m an LGBTQ+ friendly photographer.) [Boulder Wedding Photographer]
After just moving to CO, Stacy met Trent and a few dates later, he introduced her to a camera. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with photography and the guy that handed it to her. Having studied marketing and playing volleyball in college, Stacy fell head over heels for the creative aspect of photography and often finds herself pushing the limit with her competitive spirit. Photography is a never-ending love story for Stacy. Everyone she photographs has history, passions, goals, and regrets. Getting to know them is an inspiration to her but being able to capture their unique style, personality and beauty is a dream come true. Soon after Stacy and Trent got married, she went full time with Gillespie Photography and feels very blessed to work beside her best friend. Stacy has a deep love for relationships. She enjoys spending her time with family and friends but still gets a rush over meeting new people and learning about their inspirations. When she isn’t enjoying people’s company, you might find her drinking a cup of coffee while reading her book, hiking in the mountains or driving on a back-country dirt road in search of another barn to photograph. Stacy has a passion for early mornings, dancing, laughing and most of all, the Lord. [Summit County Wedding Photographer]
Being a wedding photographer allows me to combine my passions for art, creativity, photography, adventure, love, and people. As one half of a husband and wife photography team, I have the honor of witnessing as couples commit to their relationships alongside my own husband. We specialize in capturing people in nature and in documenting the stories of adventurous couples. [Denver Wedding Photographer]
I am a photojournalist and Pulitzer finalist who approaches weddings with a quiet presence and an eye for authenticity. I work with a calm demeanor and a desire to remain unnoticed, finding small moments of intimacy in the midst of public celebrations. While environment and ritual play an important part in my wedding coverage, I also focus on the personal connections and latent emotions brought to the surface by such pivotal moments in life. I feel my task is to anticipate and document moments as they naturally occur, without direction or interference. My ultimate goal is a highly personal book that is both beautiful and meaningful, authentic to the moment and revealing of those depicted. I'm a recent transplant to Denver, CO from Washington DC and I continue to cover weddings nationwide. [Denver Wedding Photographer]
I never expected to be where I am today, living by the mountains and photographing the happiest days of people's lives. Growing up on the East Coast, I was a kid with a plan. I was nine when I proudly declared I would become an architect. (Jokes on Baby Gabrielle because I am clearly not an architect- though I did get my bachelor’s degree in architecture). Nine-year-old me was obsessed with buildings, nature, art, and design. This obsession led to photography, which allowed me to capture all of the beautiful, thoughtfully designed buildings and incredible landscapes I saw. I expanded to photographing people, which I found to be so much more dynamic than buildings or landscapes alone. This inspired me to challenge myself and start photographing weddings, where I fell in love! It combined so many of my passions in an unexpected way. So much goes on during a wedding day, and so many emotions are felt- I truly enjoy capturing it all. The love between a couple, all of the little thought-out details chosen to represent them, the happiness and excitement among their family and friends- it is an honor to be trusted to capture such precious moments. All this to say, my lifelong passions for architecture, nature, art, design, and people have given me a keen eye for composition and a different perspective of the world around me, which is present every time I pick up my camera. I bring 18 years and 255+ weddings of experience in Canada, Australia, and the U.S. into my work, so my clients can trust that I have the experience and skills needed to do an amazing job in any location. I'm originally from the West Coast of Canada growing up in Victoria, B.C. (so I might still say 'eh' a few times) and I settled here 10 years ago after living in Australia for 3 years, having followed my lovely wife, Allison, around. I am lucky to be living in such an amazing place and love what Colorado has to offer. I am a passionate husband and a doting dad to our two daughters, Bridget and Vanessa. I love having fun with my family and friends as well as staying active, which includes playing tennis, yoga, skiing, running and hiking. I also enjoy gardening and growing veggies, especially tomatoes. Mmmm... tomatoes! My approach to wedding photography is a more natural and laid-back photo-journalistic style. I enjoy the challenge of capturing those unique moments and providing lasting memories for such an important occasion. And, more than that, I love connecting with people. My easy-going personality and calm presence on the day helps create an environment where you can relax and be yourself - and have fun! I love capturing candid moments that show raw emotions and combining them with beautiful, artistic portraits to tell your wedding day story with style. [Fort Collins Wedding Photographer]

What a happy surprise! We didn't expect to see these for several days yet. They look awesome! John and I will review them together and get back to you. Thanks so much for photographing our wedding. It was so wonderful not only have you do it from a professional standpoint but it was great to have you there. You get us. We'll talk to you soon and thanks for the fast turn around!
Every shot you took was a cut above. Not only are you a master technically, you're an artist. You understand how objects and shapes come together to create a powerful image and tell a story. You've also obviously carefully studied how people interact. The photos are so well-timed... it's almost as if you knew what I was going to do before I did it. That takes quite a trigger finger. You not only took photos of everyone who's important to me... you captured who those people are. My panic. Greg's graciousness. My mother's goofiness. My wedding is the first time I've ever seen my father cry… I know it was just another Saturday at work for you, but that album is the best wedding present I received. I'm so grateful I found you. On top of the compliments regarding your work, I just wanted to say that both Greg and I really enjoyed your company. You have a good spirit about you.
