With a love of documentary photography that touches everything I do, I have had the privilege of photographing hundred of weddings throughout New England since 1994. I approach my work with respect for the subject, gentle humor and letting events play out naturally in time.
I began photography at 13 years old, growing up in South Dakota. After studying photojournalism at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, I have been a part of the Valley News in Lebanon, N.H., since 1989. I am now the photo editor in a newsroom full of talented and funny journalists.
I have done photography for a dozen books, including The Joy of Keeping Chickens and Harvest: A Year in the Life of an Organic Farm. My photographs have also been exhibited throughout Vermont, including a one-person show at the Agency of Agriculture in Montpelier, Vermont.

Chris and I are beyond thrilled with the beautiful photographs we received from you of our wedding. Your documentary style absolutely delivered on letting the sincerity, joy, passion and excitement of our day shine through - you really highlighted both our's and our guest's personalities in the images you captured and the photos are so true to the spirit of our celebration. You were a delight to be around, so kind and super accommodating - you're just a class-act, all around. You were also so unobtrusive - once the ceremony and reception got started we barely noticed you! But you somehow moved all around the grounds of the farm and captured not only the beauty of the grounds but hundreds of special moments between Chris and I as well as moments between us and our family and friends. We don't know how you did it but you got EVERYTHING. Inside jokes, happy tears, belly-clutching laughter, heartfelt embraces, silly moments, loving looks, dance attitudes - the images you captured for us are so full of genuine in-the-moment feeling. As an added bonus, the formal couple and family portraits that we asked you to take turned out so beautiful and natural looking - no "staged" impressions or phony poses whatsoever. Every time we look through our photos we are transported back to the best day of our lives. We are so grateful for the way you captured our wedding and turned fleeting moments into tangible memories. Thank you, Geoff!

We want to thank you, not only for the great photos, but also for the incredible patience and care you've taken as my family has ordered prints from you. We wanted a photographer who recognized that the wedding was a wedding, not a photo shoot, but could still get great photos. You delivered this, with stunning results at a very reasonable price. Despite the pouring rain, the last minute switch from the lawn to the packed porch, we were blown away at your ability to get shots from every angle. It wasn't so much like reliving the event, as getting to see it through a many different people's eyes.
