Photographer Seeks Intention, Captures Serenity with Cinematic Eye
I'm a Los Angeles-based, Mexican-American wedding photographer for non-traditional couples wanting a reflection of themselves with a dreamy, documentary approach. Being mindful and being present is important to me and my work. I love taking trips to Big Sur and Joshua Tree where it feels like the world slows down. The one thing you should know about me is that I believe in doing things with intention. With a cinematic touch, I tend to look for the quiet and calm in a moment. It's the serene stillness of a couple gazing into each other's eyes, or the expression of pure love encapsulated by a bride's smile on her wedding day. I actually started out documenting punk bands in Southern California venues 8 years ago which led to a role in the fashion landscape, and now, I travel to document couples in love. Prior to that, I got my degree in Art History from UCLA really set me on a path toward photography that I'll always appreciate. Even today, I watch old films, read old books, and collect old cameras to get inspired. Most of my time these days is spent hanging with my wife Sarah and our wild children.
