I was born in 1967. I started taking pictures at 8 yrs old when I got a Kodak Instamatic. My interest in wedding photography came (and has not run out yet) in 1992 shooting some friends' wedding. In the time I was graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Since the middle 90's I was approached professionally to shoot documentary and reportage. My style is all driven by working with available light, behaving like an unobtrusive observer.

I love the choice to shoot from the oarsmanʼs position. It places the moment into a different perspective. It unmasks the idyllic, to be seen as “real.”
It was a strong category with many images that could have been ranked as winners but, as such, it was light and composition combine with a moment that made some mages stand apart from others. This is a strong example of those three elements coming together to record an image that awards us all with the pleasure of visual prose.
Humor and peak action impact create a dynamic composition.
The bride and groom are literally bombarded with confetti fired from tubes that lean toward the hapless couple, forming a visual bridge that guides our eyes into the blinding chaos enveloping the fleeing newlyweds. It’s a fun image…a blast of light, form and color.
Great layering! I love the fist-pump in the foreground – a really nice touch to a great celebration image.
