Emil Boczek is a Wolverhampton wedding photographer in uk and a professional documentary style wedding photographer.

My name is Emil and I am a professional documentary wedding photographer. Currently based in Wolverhampton where I live with my wife and 3 children, but I photograph weddings all over the UK and abroad. My photography style is pure documentary (also referred to as candid, natural or reportage wedding photography) with no direction/interference as I firmly believe that your wedding day belongs to you and your family and photographer should not interfere with it. I will never ask anyone to stop, smile and look at the camera. Documenting weddings from different cultures - including Sikh Weddings, Muslim wedding ceremonies, Hindu weddings, and traditional European church wedding is something that I really enjoy. I am Polish/Canadian with over 25 years of experience, including reportage work for newspapers in Canada and Poland. Covered destination weddings and events in Canada, Poland, France, Spain Italy, and the UK. [West Midlands Wedding Photographer]

Andrew Billington award winning documentary wedding photographer

The first chapter in my working life was as an actor and theatre stage manager. I’ve spent my life telling stories and I continue to do so. I live with my wife Rachel and my two dogs on the edge of the Peak District in the UK - most of my spare time is spent walking, reading and catching up with box sets. For the last ten years, I’ve been photographing weddings, refining and perfecting my relaxed, story-telling approach. I photograph on average 40 weddings a year and try to find something different for every wedding couple I work with. 3 years ago I was asked to run a workshop on my approach to documentary wedding photography and that has expanded into running full day workshops across the UK (and even a solo, workshop in Crete in 2018). As well as photographing weddings I photograph live theatre for a few national theatres and it's a way of getting my photography to a wider audience through Nation Newspapers and exhibitions. UK documentary wedding photographer Nick Brightman - Serving West Midlands and Wolverhampton

Let's take the ‘cheeeeeese’ out of wedding photography, No posing, no cliches, but a relaxed, unscripted record of your day – just call me The Wedding Ninja!! I love a wedding with personality, one that has ‘You’ stamped all over it Want a floral wedding dress with Doc Martens? Brilliant Getting married in an old cinema? Amazing Duck herding at the drinks reception? That will do nicely! My Dad is a photographer and I was given my first camera when I was 6 years old, but then sort of lost interest for a while. Then, about 15 years ago, whilst travelling in Asia, I bought a digital camera, spent about 3 days in Singapore taking photographs almost non stop and I was hooked, the rest, as they say, is history!! Shropshire wedding photographer Andy Li, for UK

Hi, here's a little bit about me... - I love going to Gin Festivals! - I love weddings...I even had one of my own! - I had my five minutes of fame on The Gadget Show. - I love gadgets, Krispy Kremes, lemon drizzle cake, chilli sauce, wearing bright funky socks. - I suppose I’m a bit of a geek...and love my Apple toys. I've been shooting weddings since 2006, and for the last couple of years my wife Leanne has worked with me shooting video. I'm based in Shropshire (UK) and shoot weddings all over the UK and worldwide. I believe a wedding should be a great big party and not a great big performance. I love capturing all the fun, natural moments during a wedding. [Shropshire Wedding Photographer]

Worcestershire wedding photography by John Colson of West Midlands, England.

Hello.... I'm John. I'm short, I wear big glasses and when I haven't had a shave for a month or two I somehow manage to grow a scraggly, scruffy ginger beard with flecks of grey in it of which I am very proud. Lots of people think I look like that choirmaster chap on the telly (I can't see it myself but who am I to argue). I have been taking pictures for a long time now. I can't photograph cats, landscapes or sunsets, but I do love taking photos of people and somehow manage to make my living doing so. In that time I have developed a real love for capturing the special moments of a wedding day and have found a style that truly reflects how I would wish to have been photographed at my own Wedding. I have worked for many lovely couples and I am truly humbled whenever I am asked to be a part of one of the most important days of their lives. My wedding photography is intended to record a wedding day in a refined reportage style. I like to work in a way that ensures I document the day, without being central to it. I want my images to reflect the love, romance, joy and beauty of the day, together with special moments spent with family and friends. I fully understand that being photographed can be quite a daunting experience for many people (I'm not overly keen on being photographed myself). However, I pride myself on working with clients in a relaxed and friendly manner in order to ensure that it is an enjoyable part of their wedding day. [Worcestershire Wedding Photographer]

West Midlands and Worcestershire wedding photography by Richard Watkins of England, United Kingdom

I love photographing weddings with all the emotions they bring out of people, and there is usually cake, what's not to like! It's these emotions I aim to capture in my photographs. I've been interested in photography since my Dad trusted me not to drop his trusted SLR (back in the film days) and had my own camera for my 16th birthday. I took a break when I started my first job as a physics teacher, but sparked my interest again when we had children. My main other interest is karate and Japanese culture generally if you get to visit, make sure you try okonomiyaki. I've been lucky enough to have travelled to Japan a few times and lead a school exchange visit to a Japanese school. I even got to try kendo and train karate in a Japanese dojo. Northamptonshire wedding reportage by Jordanna Marston, of the UK

Hello I'm Jordanna a creative documentary wedding photographer based in Northamptonshire but merrily covering the whole of the UK, Europe and beyond. I take real pride in my work and I make no apologies for loving it so much. I am a happy, easy going character but sometimes the Italian in me rears its head so don’t be surprised if you catch me with tears in my eyes during the speeches or feeling choked up when I see you in your dress for the first time. Equally you might catch my foot tapping on the dance floor – I enjoy getting swept up by it all and I love capturing the energy in my photos. My approach to a wedding day is very much one of a documentary photographer. I, of course, shoot some family groups and a handful of portraits of the couple but I believe the majority of people connect with my work for my personality packed candids. My ideal clients are creative, fun loving, stylish and laid back. They say knickers to tradition for traditions sake and they definitely do not take themselves too seriously and they often say that, “although the photography is very important to us - we just want to have the most fun day ever.” Suits me! I thrive in seeking out fun and energy on a wedding day and my work is a lot about colour, characters, humour and Britishness. I have been shooting weddings full time for almost five years now and have shot close to 200 weddings. Although I’ve never been one to chase accolades – ultimately it is my couples’ feedback and happiness that fulfils me - I was extremely proud (and thankful) to be named one of the Rangefinder Rising Stars in 2017. It was a totally crazy feeling for me and my little business to be recognised on that sort of renowned, international photography platform...but of course very very nice too! Thought you might want to read a little about me outside of work to soooo...I live in a Victorian house on a nice leafy street with my husband and our son. There is nothing we like doing more together than exploring new places; booking random Airbnbs and getting away as often as we can. Besides from the mum/wife stuff I love chilling with my friends; painting; interior design and architecture; a good coffee table book; plotting projects on Pinterest; having a good, sweaty dance; having a laugh; bright lipsticks; instagramming; travelling; meeting new people and hearing their stories…which I guess is why I am so suited to my job. Being asked by couples to hang out with them and their families on their wedding days to take photos is just a dream come true. It’s also worth knowing that my business is run with an environmentally friendly policy at it’s heart. Most of my work is online; packaging is made from recycled materials and my gorgeous Fine Art albums are sourced locally. Obviously travel in my job is inevitable but I use public transport where possible and I run a modern, fuel efficient car. At home we recycle like mad; grow some of our own veggies; shop local and walk lots. If you like the sound of me and love my work then do get in touch – I would love to hear all about your plans and I’m sure if you go on to book me we’ll have a great time in the process. Warwickshire wedding reportage photography by Alex Bradbury, of England

I live right in the middle of the UK in Leamington Spa and I've been shooting weddings for around 5 years now. My journey into wedding photography started when I was asked to shoot a friend's wedding back in 2013 - I had no intention of becoming a wedding photographer before that but loved it so much I started to shoot more and more until it became my full-time work. Now I travel all over the country, wherever the weddings take me! I've never been a fan of cheesy 'old fashioned' wedding photography and have always preferred to keep my wedding photos as real as possible right from the start. I do love creating beautiful portraits but most of the day I'm documenting the day as it happens. The type of weddings I really enjoy are the ones where the bride and groom, their family and their friends just want to have a good time and enjoy the day without any worrying about the way weddings 'should be'. The more fun you're having the better! It will really show in your photos - genuine smiles beat forced smiles any day! [Warwickshire Wedding Photographer]

Gloucestershire wedding photography by Alex Benyon of England, United Kingdom

I’m Alex and I’m an award-winning photographer, husband to an amazing wife and father to a beautiful daughter. Currently living in the picturesque Cotswolds I shoot weddings all over the UK, Europe and anywhere in the world I’m asked to. I absolutely love using photography as a way of capturing emotion and telling stories which is why I specialise in documentary wedding photojournalism, a more candid and hands-off approach to wedding photography. Basically I will never tell you what to do, where to stand or ask you to ‘act natural’! I am also privileged to work with Sony UK as one of their Sony Alpha Creators. This includes delivering talks and presentations for Sony at photographic events and conventions all over the UK about my approach to documentary wedding photography using the Alpha system. As well as giving talks for Sony UK I also enjoy teaching and sharing my photographic approach and techniques at events and photography conventions around the UK and I have spoken several times at the annual The Photography Show at the NEC in Birmingham. Wedding Photographer captures quite moment as the bridesmaid looks timidly out before entering the scene
Weddings can be chaotic, noisy affairs where emotions are displayed publicly, so one of your biggest challenges that day can be capturing that quiet, intimate side. Trust, anticipation, skilled observation, savvy lens selection and a host of other judgments make it possible to bag those poignant moments in images that recall the day for those in attendance, and reveal a story for those who were not. It is all part of the unique value proposition that our members bring to wedding photojournalism.Read more

There are those couples who wouldn’t think of banning their favorite creature from their wedding, whether it is a dog, a cat, or a parakeet. They would rather drop one of their family members from the invitation list than their beloved pets. Aunt Martha, meet Bowser. Then there are the vast majority of animal lovers whose anxiety over their pets’ unpredictable behavior keeps them from extending an invitation to them. There are also those who waffle back and forth on the matter. They would love...Read more

When you hire a WPJA member to document your wedding, you will most likely receive original, dynamic photos that capture the story of the day. Often this story contains many intimate moments that might appear insignificant to an outsider. But to you, they have tremendous meaning; able to always bring you right back to the people, the place, and the emotion of that day. Obviously, the emotional aspect of a wedding isn’t just about the love between the bride and groom. Family plays an important...Read more

Hi Andrew, Phroahhhhhhh! What photos! What WONDERFUL photos, thank you very much indeed. We have had so much fun coming back from days of sightseeing and reminiscing about what was for us such a perfect day. Your photos have captured some beautiful moments, thank you so much! We have shared the link with family and friends and the compliments keep coming in! The photo album looks beautiful, Sarah is somewhat of a photo album nerd and has plans to make a wedding album when we're back (so may be in touch in December). Thank you again for helping make our day even more special, these photos will bring us happy memories for many years to come. With much appreciation of your skill in capturing the day, Robert and Sarah

Hi Jordanna!! I'm so sorry for such a delay and I hope you're well! It's been a bit crazy (I bet all of your brides say that!!) - we had an amazing honeymoon in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, arrived home on the Monday - and then had an epic Indian wedding that weekend! Yesterday was our first day actually at home since before the wedding!! The photos are beautiful!! We are busy sharing them with family and friends and those who have seen them so far love them! There are so many moments I obviously missed because I was either upstairs or elsewhere - I now have a full picture of the day! I still can't believe what amazing weather we had - and that was the last thing on my mind! The wedding we went to last weekend was.....very different to ours! I emailed Mark last week and told him how they had 4 (!) photographers, dressed all in black with branded t-shirts and 2 videographer guys! They just got in the way! Thank you for being pretty much invisible! We are going to look into buying an album over the next few days and are going to order some prints via the gallery. Thanks so much! x Hayley
