Andy Griffiths an award winning Lancashire wedding photographer

When I am not editing, meeting couples or photographing weddings I enjoy watching sport, travelling and spending time with friends and family. I am a keen runner and have ran two marathons for charity. Originally from Wales, I have travelled the world and have also lived in America and Australia. I returned to the UK in 2013 and have been living in Lancashire ever since. I truly love my job, and I am lucky enough to photograph some fantastic weddings throughout the North West and the UK. Lancashire documentary wedding photography by Janina Brocklesby of England United Kingdom

Hi, I am Janina… the one behind the camera… you might want to know me a little bit before you invite me to photograph your big day! I am a proud Mummy of two amazing children Michael and Grace. Those two keep me very fit! I have been married to my best friend John since 2010. Family means everything to me and we love spending time together hiking, travelling and camping. I am a morning person and often I will get up at 5 am just to enjoy good coffee and early morning is the perfect time to do that. I love an outdoor lifestyle! Long walks and campfires are right up my street! I love animals, Freeman-our dog is a huge part of our family! I’ve grown up in a home where all forms of art were greatly appreciated. My Grandma still owns an art gallery. Photography has always been my hobby and passion! I speak Italian and Polish thanks to my family's bloodlines! I like pizza, cheese, gin, pizza, cheese, pizza (did I mention that I like pizza?) I also like holidays, driving, reading and obviously I love PHOTOGRAPHY! A good night out with friends is a must now and again! I love travelling and meeting new people. I also always find time to go to the theatre to see a good show. My music choices are all over place….from Nirvana, The Beatles and ACDC(thanks to my dad) to Little Mix Olly Murs and Rita Ora. Funny I know! Something weird about me – I don’t like chocolate! Lancashire wedding photography by James Tracey, of England United Kingdom

I started photographing weddings in 2012 and I now shoot between 40 and 50 weddings a year, all over the U.K. along with international weddings. I now have over 300 weddings worth of experience and have shot at many of the leading venues throughout the country and have photographed a number of celebrities, from actors, sports stars and musicians. I was bitten by the photography bug whilst studying Graphic Design in the mid-'90s. It took me 14 years to buy my first DSLR and within 2 years of buying a Nikon D5000, I had left my full-time job to shoot weddings professionally. I am a father to two little girls and husband to my amazing wife. We live in an old farmhouse high up in the Saddleworth hills. I have a love for travel, music, film, sport and TV drama. Manchester, Lancashire, Chesire, and Lancashire wedding photography by Philip Salisbury

I LOVE to travel and have visited many countries all over the globe including backpacking through Australia and Thailand meeting many diverse cultures and people. This has also helped considerably in me being able to adapt and connect with people seeing and anticipating moments before they happen, looking for the moments between the moments. After travelling and learning so much about myself and others I found an appreciation for life in a different way realising this planet and the people on it are truly beautiful. The people you're surrounded by help tell your tale of life. The promise I make to myself for every wedding I capture is to ensure I don't just show how it looked but equally as important if not more so, how it felt! [Lancashire Wedding Photographer]

Wedding Photographer captures quite moment as the bridesmaid looks timidly out before entering the scene
Weddings can be chaotic, noisy affairs where emotions are displayed publicly, so one of your biggest challenges that day can be capturing that quiet, intimate side. Trust, anticipation, skilled observation, savvy lens selection and a host of other judgments make it possible to bag those poignant moments in images that recall the day for those in attendance, and reveal a story for those who were not. It is all part of the unique value proposition that our members bring to wedding photojournalism.Read more
Wedding Photograph taken as bridesmaids see bride in her dress for the first time and showing their reactions
To document the best moments of a wedding day, a photographer shouldn’t only focus on the bride and groom , or even on the main event. "Reaction shots," which record the reactions of guests observing the wedding’s activities as they occur, add an invaluable dimension to the visual record of the festivities. “I was constantly given a gentle reminder to look beyond the obvious action while covering sports assignments while on staff at The Hartford Courant newspaper,...Read more

Surely, your vision involved you and your partner. It was filled with tenderness, sweet melodies, pure bliss…and romance. After all, a wedding is romantic—the consummation of your everlasting love. A skilled wedding photojournalist knows how to anticipate and capture situations that convey those special feelings. When the day is over,...Read more
Wedding Photojournalist captures generations | The bride shares a moment with her mother and grandmother before the ceremony
When you hire a WPJA member to document your wedding, you will most likely receive original, dynamic photos that capture the story of the day. Often this story contains many intimate moments that might appear insignificant to an outsider. But to you, they have tremendous meaning; able to always bring you right back to the people, the place, and the emotion of that day. Obviously, the emotional aspect of a wedding isn’t just about the love between the bride and groom. Family plays an important...Read more
Sideline story photography at the wedding reception showing ladies drinking gin from tea cups
Some wedding photographers may feel the need to include the bride or groom in every picture, but those photos convey only part of the day's record. Most WPJA members will probably tell you that you're not fully documenting the event unless you get out there on the periphery and record the subplots of the wedding day—the unique and intersecting stories of the guests as they enjoy the festivities. We call these types of pictures “sideline shots,” and they are distinct from the standard reaction...Read more
Wedding photograph with layers | Image of the groom coming into the ceremony outdoors
Anyone who’s been to a wedding knows there’s nothing simple about the photographer’s job. This is doubly true for a wedding photojournalist, whose goal is not to just photograph the couple, and the family and friends present, but to capture the energy and the variety of emotion that surround the event. After all, it’s called a milestone for a reason. One of the best compositional strategies for a wedding photojournalist is to focus on images with depth. Deep photos, like...Read more
