Tamil Nadu and Chennai elopement wedding photography by Sujith Kumar of India

I am Sujith Kumar, a photographer based out of Chennai, India. A Retro Aficionado. Images have always fascinated me, Kodak's focus-free cameras which were a rage in the late '90s was my favorite toy!! I was mentored by Mr.Raghu Lakshminarayanan, who taught me the mind, body, and soul of wedding photography. Becoming a photographer was a fantasy to me more than a dream. Capturing weddings in an unconventional style is what I prefer, whether you call it wedding reportage, wedding photojournalism or candid wedding photography. I along with my team have crisscrossed South India and we consider it a privilege to be part of the most vibrant wedding culture in the world. [Chennai Wedding Photographer]

Hyderabad documentary wedding photography by Sougata Mishra of Telangana India

Sougata Mishra, who is a postgraduate in Pharmaceutics and a Research Scientist, understood his instincts, not very soon, that he isn’t cut out for the industry he is working in. His passion for creating stories about love and life through his camera, made him switch from a stabilized profession of an ‘Industrial Researcher’ to a ‘Professional Wedding Photographer’. He initiated his dream venture ‘Chayasutra’ in 2015 and over these years, he has carved out an astounding place for himself in such a promising industry. Sougata leads his team of creative photographers, who travel extensively in diverse cities across the country and capture candid moments and life events of the people. He candidly shares “Our team believes in capturing emotions rather than just clicking pictures of people and places”. They have rich experience in both the technical know-how of the gear involved and the artistic approach with which they capture moments. The moment capturer, Sougata Mishra says, “We are always on our toes to showcase the best of our talent to a larger audience”. Talking about the sense of gratification he perceives for choosing his career as an artist, he softly adds “After, all the work we accomplish in a project, it’s the billion-dollar smile that I get to see on our client’s face, which motivates me to perform better each day”. The wedding photographer is also inspired by the work of the famous ‘Two Mann Studios’ and gets a load of motivational speeches by ‘Sandeep Maheshwari’. However, it was a rough start for Sougata in the initial years of his venture. With no prior experience or study in photography, he incurred a loss of around 70k in the first year. Continuous back pulling from friends and relatives worsened his difficulties. But his family supported him through all the rough patches. Plus his experiences taught him to deliver more than expected outcomes to his clients. Over the due course of time, he was able to tap the potential in the Wedding photography industry, which is a promising industry generating handsome revenues in the market today. Sougata discloses “Each time I find faults within myself, I work on understanding and correcting them. I am always keen for learning and finding solutions to impart the best of services to our clients”. [Hyderabad Wedding Photographer]

Traditionally speaking, often times it is the couple’s families who help pay for their wedding. However, unfortunately that’s just not possible for everyone, especially these days when the cost of weddings can quickly and easily get out of control. Some couples find themselves in the position of paying for all of their own wedding expenses, which can be quite the financial burden to take on, and about 40% of Millennials end up in this boat. So, how can you stick to your allotted...Read more
While some people live for the hustle and bustle of a big wedding with extravagant décor and an impossibly long guest list, others find these kinds of weddings to be too much hoopla, preferring instead something simpler and quieter, allowing for more intimacy between them and their fiancés on this special day. So how do you infuse your wedding with all the romance but none of the fuss? ALONE AT LAST Many couples these days are opting to elope rather than planning a large wedding. For the no-...Read more
We all know that the economy can go through some hard times, and be somewhat reminiscent of past recessions. However, as people cut back on non-essential little luxuries here and there, one constant remains: weddings. People don’t tend to just stop getting married due to a poor economy, nor should they! So, in an industry that keeps on going through thick and thin, what are some things to expect for the future, and what is really necessary to still make that wedding day memorable and...Read more

Some couples, as they begin planning for their weddings, might think that they are limited to the classic locations: churches, gardens, beaches, or even Las Vegas. But in doing so they’re missing out on a multitude of unique options that might suit their personalities much better! Why limit yourself to a quiet, quaint ceremony when your adventurous heart may be calling out for something more? An entirely different genre of wedding, so to speak, is the adventure wedding elopement. This concept...Read more
While some of us were fortunate enough to be born as extroverts, not everyone feels the same way. For a good chunk of the population, any number of the typical wedding day traditions can inspire anxiety and existential dread. This day is all about you, yes, but does that mean all the attention has to be on you as well? FROM VOWS TO CHITCHAT, WHICH REMAINS SACRED? Traditional weddings often require some degree of performance on the part of the couple, whether that is in the form of reciting...Read more

Everyone always says that your wedding day is all about you. But let’s face it; that’s not always actually the case. Many couples stress over guest lists, planning, expenses, and all the frills and traditions of your standard large wedding that they may or may not even be interested in. Fortunately, though, the concept of small weddings is becoming increasingly popular for couples who either want to be able to completely customize their day where and when they want with the option...Read more
