Tamil Nadu and Chennai wedding photography by Sujith Kumar of India

I am Sujith Kumar, a photographer based out of Chennai, India. A Retro Aficionado. Images have always fascinated me, Kodak's focus-free cameras which were a rage in the late '90s was my favorite toy!! I was mentored by Mr.Raghu Lakshminarayanan, who taught me the mind, body, and soul of wedding photography. Becoming a photographer was a fantasy to me more than a dream. Capturing weddings in an unconventional style is what I prefer, whether you call it wedding reportage, wedding photojournalism or candid wedding photography. I along with my team have crisscrossed South India and we consider it a privilege to be part of the most vibrant wedding culture in the world. [Tamil Nadu Wedding Photographer]

There’s nothing quite like a wedding reception in a tent, with its uniquely informal atmosphere, customized decor and proximity to the elements outdoors. There’s nothing quite like a wedding reception in a tent, with its uniquely informal atmosphere, customized decor and proximity to the elements outdoors. Wedding photograph with layers | Image of the groom coming into the ceremony outdoors
Anyone who’s been to a wedding knows there’s nothing simple about the photographer’s job. This is doubly true for a wedding photojournalist, whose goal is not to just photograph the couple, and the family and friends present, but to capture the energy and the variety of emotion that surround the event. After all, it’s called a milestone for a reason. One of the best compositional strategies for a wedding photojournalist is to focus on images with depth. Deep photos, like...Read more
Denis Gostev, of New York, is a wedding photographer for St. Francis Xavier Church
You can argue that of all the photos on your wedding day, the ones taken during the ceremony are the most meaningful—that’s why you’re there, right? It’s ironic, then, that wedding photojournalists regularly have the most trouble shooting their best work in the churches where these very ceremonies take place. Often times, significant moments unfold in front of camera lenses that are too far away, positioned at awkward angles, and photographers are forced to operate under...Read more
Wedding Photographer captures quite moment as the bridesmaid looks timidly out before entering the scene
Weddings can be chaotic, noisy affairs where emotions are displayed publicly, so one of your biggest challenges that day can be capturing that quiet, intimate side. Trust, anticipation, skilled observation, savvy lens selection and a host of other judgments make it possible to bag those poignant moments in images that recall the day for those in attendance, and reveal a story for those who were not. It is all part of the unique value proposition that our members bring to wedding photojournalism.Read more
