Sometimes, it seems, there is truly one absolute best angle to make a photo. This image is an example. Try to imagine the scene shot from any other angle that would make it a worthy competitor. Maybe, just maybe… but I doubt it.
I smiled when I saw this photoʼs six smiles. Itʼs a light-hearted image that creates itʼs own warmth in black and white. You can practically feel the colors in this photo. The symmetry helps to sell the image just like a big-hearted smile.
My first thought when seeing this image was wondering how many rose petals were required as a backdrop. I suppose that's a photographer's lament that we think of the difficulty in creating an image before we actually "see" the image. But I quickly realized that this was a group photo elevated to something far more - it became experiential. It wasn't long before I could practically smell the roses.
