Photography at Destination Weddings by Frederic Rejaudry, of Caribbean

I was born in 1977 in Martinique. I've graduated from a software engineer school in 2000 in Valenciennes, France. And I worked as a software engineer from 2000 to 2008 in Paris. In 2006, I started to study photography and got my Photography Professional Certificate in 2008. That's when I decided to go back home to Martinique, and found Malmoth Wedding Photography. Now, I shoot 20 weddings a year, and I have shot more than 150 weddings since 2008. I'm mainly influenced by humanist photographers like Willy Ronis, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Doisneau. I love the genuine candid moments they have photographed and I try to transpose this vision to weddings. Even though I mainly photograph in color. [Martinique Wedding Photographer]

Puerto Rico Destination Wedding Photographer Alexis Rodriguez Montalvo - Caribbean WPJA - Alex Dali

How did I start doing Photography? It all started with Dali, the love of my life. She was taking photography courses in college and I accompanied her to some classes that were taught outside the campus. A few classes later, I started to understand the techniques and how interesting it was to be able to capture a moment in an image. A few months later I decided to study Professional Photography, and here I am. Capturing amazing moments and creating awesome portraiture for each one of our couples. My Style? My main goal is to create a visual impact through storytelling, vibrant colors, and creativity. I want to give my couples a different perspective from what is commonly seen in weddings. For me is very important that my couples feel that there wedding is totally unique from other weddings they have seen before. [Puerto Rico Wedding Photographer]

Bride with a really dirty wedding dress getting lifted up by the groom on the dance floor inside a tented reception | Rainy Wedding Photography
There’s nothing quite like a wedding reception in a tent, with its uniquely informal atmosphere, customized decor and proximity to the elements outdoors. There’s nothing quite like a wedding reception in a tent, with its uniquely informal atmosphere, customized decor and proximity to the elements outdoors. Weddings and receptions with an outdoor component are incredibly popular in the warm months, with a tent considered de rigueur for such events when considering the fickleness of...Read more
Wedding Photojournalist captures generations | The bride shares a moment with her mother and grandmother before the ceremony
When you hire a WPJA member to document your wedding, you will most likely receive original, dynamic photos that capture the story of the day. Often this story contains many intimate moments that might appear insignificant to an outsider. But to you, they have tremendous meaning; able to always bring you right back to the people, the place, and the emotion of that day. Obviously, the emotional aspect of a wedding isn’t just about the love between the bride and groom. Family plays an important...Read more
Wedding Photojournalism Beauty Photos of the bride crossing her eyes as she reacts to her dress being buttoned up from behind
The bride steps into her wedding gown. Her mother and a coterie of bridesmaids assist her with the final touches on her hair and makeup. They primp and preen at her gown, perhaps contributing something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Today, the vast majority of brides invite their photographer to document the “getting ready” period, and for good reason. Getting ready can be a monumental task for the bride and her entourage, and an event in itself. It...Read more
Wedding Photography of Busy Getting Ready Scene | Image of the groom enjoying himself as the bride, her bridesmaids, and her mom try to get her bustled for the cocktail hour
A wedding is not just the culmination of a couple’s commitment. It’s also the final product of much planning and preparation. Yet despite the best-laid plans, your big day won’t necessarily get a free pass from Murphy’s Law. Some chaos is almost inevitable at some point along the way. Luckily, when you hire a wedding photojournalist, you have someone on hand who is an expert in capturing those moments as memorable visual stories that you’ll enjoy for years to come. Some of our own WPJA members...Read more
Denis Gostev, of New York, is a wedding photographer for St. Francis Xavier Church
You can argue that of all the photos on your wedding day, the ones taken during the ceremony are the most meaningful—that’s why you’re there, right? It’s ironic, then, that wedding photojournalists regularly have the most trouble shooting their best work in the churches where these very ceremonies take place. Often times, significant moments unfold in front of camera lenses that are too far away, positioned at awkward angles, and photographers are forced to operate under...Read more
Wedding photography article about Client Reviews, Testimonials and Letters - The bride writes her vows in the attic of a historic victorian mansion
Imagine going to the mailbox in the morning. Out from between the utility bills and the nail salon coupons falls a smallish envelope containing a folded handwritten note. On it, it reads: Our day was truly magical because of you and your talents. Whenever we look upon our wedding photos, we are instantly transported back to the moment; laughing and crying all over again. Thank you for such a priceless gift. This is a summary of actual client letters from WPJA members’ weddings. It’s...Read more

Thank you both, so much, for the time and work you put into our wedding week. We know the photographs will be incredible, and we are excited to see them! You were such a pleasure to have around, everyone said they enjoyed working with you and spending time with you - including the planner, Jerry, and all of the guests. My parents, especially, spoke very highly of you and enjoyed spending time with you Thursday night at dinner. Paul and I look forward with great anticipation to seeing the album teaser - we have been excited from the day we hired you, to see how you record memories of our wedding in your unique and fantastic style! We hope you are having a great week, Karen (and Paul)
