Hi, I'm Katie. I live in East Greenwich, RI with my husband, son and two dogs. I am the owner and principal wedding photographer of Brave Hearts Photography. I've been in business for over 5 years and have photographed approximately 100 weddings. I first learned black and white film photography when I was in high school in Manchester, CT. I took a break from photography to attend Providence College and worked for 7 years in a corporate job in the financial industry. It was planning my own wedding in 2012 that brought me back to (digital) photography. I absolutely loved being able to relive the magic of my wedding day through photographs and it became clear that I could provide that same wonderful experience for others. After taking some refresher courses at the Silvermine Art Guild in New Canaan CT, and working as a second photographer, I jumped head first into wedding photography in January 2014. My documentary style organically evolved from my own experiences as a bride. The thing I loved most about my own wedding was having all of my friends and family in one room - and then finding out afterward about all of the shenanigans that went on! After the stress and tedium of planning my own wedding, I realized how important it is to be able to enjoy every moment of it. And to hire a photographer that doesn't pull you away, but captures all of those special moments! When I'm not working, I love traveling and doing landscape photography. I also love history, consider myself the family historian, and enjoy antiquing. [Providence Wedding Photographer]
I enjoy capturing the moments and emotion throughout your wedding day. My work has been described as "fun", "artistic", “unique”, “candid”, “emotional”, "spontaneous" and “story-telling”. My photography background has spanned numerous fields; from the commercial sector, to leading non-profit organizations, to the editorial desks at several large newspapers and publications. Through these experiences, I have crafted a unique style and have become highly adaptable to any situation. Simply put, I like to make nice images and have fun doing it. I am available for assignments worldwide [and love to travel]. [Providence Wedding Photographer]
Hello, I'm Katie! I was born and raised on the island of Nantucket, and for as long as I can remember I've been immersed in and inspired by the natural beauty of my home. I always had a camera in my hand when I was younger, chasing sunsets at the beach, out on my Dad's fishing boat and documenting my adventures with my friends in scrapbooks too numerous to count. I've had a passion for storytelling from an early age. A few years after college, I moved to Boston and enrolled in the New England School of Photography for their two-year professional program and studied photojournalism, wedding and portrait photography. After graduating I started my business on Nantucket. My goal and passion is to document the moments and experiences you’ll cherish forever. I am committed to capturing the human experience from the smallest elopement to the biggest wedding celebration, from everyday life to the family vacation celebrating 60 years of marriage for the grandparents. I also spend lots of time photographing stories and doing work for organizations that are near and dear to my heart; our local animal shelter and a recent project with an equine therapy center. I believe the best part of my job is that each wedding, project, portrait session or engagement is a new artistic endeavor with a story to be told. I live on Nantucket Island with my husband Evan and our rescue pup Ziggy and while I do a lot of work here, I am also happy to travel just about anywhere! I would love to hear more about your upcoming wedding, event or story that needs to be told. [Nantucket Wedding Photographer]
My name is Alex. I am a professional photographer in Greater Boston and Cape Cod. Working in New England all over the US. Always passionate about my job and always strive to make my customers happy. Follow my Instagram or visit my web page for more details. Thanks! [Boston Wedding Photographer]
After six years as a photojournalist and multimedia photographer for Sun-Times Media in Chicago and ten years as a Senior Associate for a large Chicago fine art wedding photography studio, I am pursuing my dream of opening my own wedding and portrait studio. I bring a blend of fine art and photojournalism to each wedding that I document. I passionately push the limits of my camera looking for unique ways to document the beauty and suspense that every wedding offers. Each and every wedding is an honor to document, an honor that I take very seriously. If you like authentic images informed by art please reach out and let's work together! When not photographing a wedding, engagement or portrait session, I'm in my Upstate New York home documenting the daily life of my husband, six-year-old son, and our cat Yehti and fitting in a yoga session, time in nature, or gardening whenever I can. I have a master's degree in environmental studies and my photographic work has been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association, Editor and Publisher, Women in Photojournalism, and the Illinois Press Photographers' Association, Press Association and Associated Press. Please get in touch and tell me all about you! Whether an intimate country elopement or a grand urban celebration, from start to finish, I want to hear all about it. I am one half of Atlas + Stone, a wedding photography duo passionate about candid, honest storytelling. I went to film school at the University of Colorado, and after realizing I no longer dreamed of working on a major motion picture, I moved to Boston with a friend in 2009 and moved on creatively. Years later, married with kids and working in the restaurant industry, my wife encouraged me to pursue my passion one more time. Together, we built a company on family and event photography before jumping into weddings. We have firmly settled into the wedding industry and have photographed over 170 couples in the Southern New England area. I shoot as though I'm filming a scene. My "poses" are cinematic, shot in motion, and honest. When I shoot a wedding, I prefer to blend into the event and capture things as they happen. I developed most of my habits through cinematography, but I have been inspired and found new motivations in the entire wedding process, from engagement through the delivery of a final wedding gallery. Originally from Belarus – a small country between Poland and Russia – it was in 2006, and inspired by my own wedding, that I attended the Minsk School of Photography. Following two years intense study and two more years shadowing a renowned wedding photographer, I launched as a full-time professional wedding photographer in 2011. Since then I’ve notched-up extensive experience as a destination wedding photographer, shooting over 250 destination weddings in far away locations such as Italy, Switzerland, Motenegro, Thailand, Hungary, Czech Republic and Russia. We moved to the US in 2016. Located on Cape Cod, one of our favorite pastimes is exploring New England’s vivid landscape and sleepy coastal towns. As well as being ready to hop on a plane to shoot international weddings at a moment’s notice, I now cover engagements and weddings throughout Cape Cod, Boston and NYC, all New England and the surrounding area. [Boston Wedding Photographer]
I may be a little bit geeky, and my wife describes me as an "infuriatingly positive person". I am smitten with rock climbing, science fiction, surfing, travel, and being invited into the inner circle of a family on a wedding day. I am one of the only wedding photographers in the world shooting entirely on the highest end camera system and lenses in the world, the Leica. I am a hopeless romantic and thrive on the intricacies of a wedding day. My own wedding was the most overwhelming (fun!) experience of my life, and I treat every celebration with that gravity. I will tell the story of your day with sensitivity, artfulness, and attention to every detail. I work in a photojournalistic, candid and unobtrusive style throughout the day (apart of when we are making portraits or family formals). [Boston Wedding Photographer]
My talented husband Ed, and I are Omaha, NE wedding photographers. We met when we got paired up to work on a project in one of our art classes in college. He asked me on a date (to the free movie on campus) and the rest is history! We are visual storytellers. We love working together and we are inspired by the wide range of emotions people experience throughout the wedding day. This is why we specialize in photographing weddings with a photojournalistic-style, creating, and capturing your story of love. Our profession has allowed us to visit new places, meet interesting people, explore different cultures and traditions. Documenting intimate moments that reflect the personalities and shared love with not only your partner, but those who surround you during your day of celebration. Ultimately, creating your unique, one-of-a-kind love story. [Omaha Wedding Photographer]
I live in the small town of Lincoln, Vermont, with my husband, two cats, and a rambunctious flock of backyard chickens. Since moving to Vermont in 2012, I have photographed over 100 weddings. My husband and I work together, photographing weddings in a documentary style allowing you to relive your wedding day through your images. Besides photography, I am inspired by nature - I love taking a walk in the woods, going for a hike, or going for a swim on a hot summer day in the nearby river. [Burlington Wedding Photographer]
My name is David Butler II and I work as a documentary style wedding photographer in Connecticut and Massachusetts. I specialize in photojournalistic wedding photography, portraiture, news and sports photography. My work has appeared in newspapers, magazines and websites around the world including Sports Illustrated Magazine & Web, ESPN The Magazine & Web, The Sporting News, USA Today, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, St. Petersburg Times, Hartford Courant and others. My work has also appeared on the walls of many wonderful clients who I thank so much for letting me into their world and giving me a front row seat to some of the most important and beautiful moments of their lives. [Hartford Wedding Photographer]
My inspiration for photography is greatly influenced by literature, music, cinema and personal experiences. I try to approach my work as if it's a magical, timeless film, beautiful music composition, a memorable novel or a poem that one is constantly drawn to come back to and every time finds something new. My lifelong involvement with fine art and documentary photography lets me intimately capture the emotions, grace and light in all of the priceless moments of a wedding day, as well as the fleeting moments between those moments. I am also involved in curating film programs for several international festivals and constantly working on my personal film and photography projects. My preference is to take on limited amount of wedding commissions per year to enable myself to keep a fresh, open-minded approach and genuine excitement about every single one I select to photograph, providing my clients with undivided attention and creative energy they deserve. [Brooklyn Wedding Photographer]
Joe Brier earned an MS degree in Photojournalism from Syracuse University in 2004. Since that time, Joe has worked as a staff photographer for a daily newspaper in Northern Virginia and produced content for various publications throughout the country. [Worcester Wedding Photographer]

The evolution of wedding photography has seen the term wedding photojournalist become omnipresent in the industry, and a calling card for many photographers. If you take one thing from your time on our site, please note that while many may claim to have photo-journalistic training, few have practiced their craft in the field. Chris Ware is a tried and true photojournalist. A camera could be found in his hand as early as the age of 4. Before entering high school, Chris built his first darkroom with the help of his father who supported his passion for photography. This same passion accompanied him through his time in the Navy as a Photographer's mate, and on to the rigors of the Masters program in Photography at Syracuse University. Since 2003, Chris has worked in news media, steadily building his skillset and honing his craft. During that time, and through present day, Chris has also photographed weddings from small intimate affairs, to large, lavish extravaganzas. Chris Ware has dedicated a significant portion of his life to the pursuit of artistic excellence in photo and cinematography, so much so that he has been recognized for excellence in his field at the regional and national level. With accolades that include the prestigious Peabody Award for digital media as well as over 20 New York Emmy Awards for excellence in video journalism, a more skilled photographer for your wedding day cannot be found. It is with this same trained eye that Chris approaches your special day. Capturing genuine candid moments as they happen. Not demanding unnatural poses and forced smiles. The day promises instances of joy, capturing moments is where Chris Ware, a professional working photojournalist, far outpaces the average wedding photographer. CWP Weddings focuses on building rapport with you and those closest to you in the weeks and days leading up to your special day. Because we invest so much time, effort, and energy into each event, our award-winning team only photograph a small number of weddings a year, making each one unique. We respect that you are making a significant investment of trust and finances when selecting a wedding photographer, and as such we are also very selective in who we agree to work with. Our commitment to the highest level of professionalism and making sure each guest is beyond satisfied does have a cost, and that is found in the time constraints the CWP Team faces. If you are interested in working with CWP Weddings we ask that you reach out well in advance of your date, as our calendar tends to book quickly. Integrity is something we pride ourselves on, Wedding Photojournalist Association is an amazing resource for your wedding. Please take the time to look at WPJA while doing your research, even if our team is not the right fit for you. We want you to have all the information that is relevant to help you make the best decision possible. Wishing you all the best, and we look forward to hearing from you!
