Funny expression on the groom and guests as he tastes a drink! Composition is strong as they all share in the moment.
The photographer positioned him/herself to capture a nice moment. Everyone looking at the man reacting to the drink added to the photo. A well-composed, storytelling moment.
I love this moment. It’s a photo you can linger over...see it anew each time. The man in the corner offering an encouraging hand to “keep drinking.” Another raises his glass in encouragement. A woman “feels his pain,” while the erstwhile King and Queen wear their party crowns practically oblivious to the unfolding drama behind. The King appears to have lost something. It’s a fun and delightful moment.
Lens choice can really make or break a moment. The longer lens choice and the narrow depth of field in this frame puts all of the emphasis on the bride-just where is should be in this nice and emotional moment. Every person in a photo doesn't always have to be sharp and recognizable.
Their joy is palpable. Perfect lens selection. Great timing.
Great gesture and very funny moment. Well composed.,
This is one of the best images I viewed in the whole competition. Amazing use of light, circumstances and composition to make a surreal portrait of this bride. Also creative in the use of the back of a head. Excellent!
Survives completely on unusual samurai approach to cake cutting. Just haven't seen this before and it opens up a new approach to an old event. Good peak action as well.
