Douglas Zimmerman understands the huge responsibility of documenting a couple’s wedding. Drawing on his decade and a half experience working as a photojournalist, he specializes his photography in capturing the important moments of the day.
Doug is an freelance photojournalist who has over the past 15 years worked for as a staff photographer for the San Francisco Business Times and Los Angeles Times Community Newspapers and as photo editor for SFGate.com. His work has appeared in many publications, including: New York Times Digital, the San Francisco Chronicle, ESPN The magazine, Reuters, and Men's Health magazine.
His interest in photography began as a high school student, when he started shooting for the school newspaper. Doug found that photojournalism was the best way for him to explore the world around him, meeting new people and exploring different cultures and traditions.
Douglas photographs around 10 weddings a year. His style is relaxed and casual and his typical clientele are couples who want a photographer to unobtrusively capture all the special moments of their wedding day.
