I discovered photography long before I became a wedding photographer, but my eye for storytelling was shaped most deeply after becoming a parent. My wife and I moved from China to the United States to pursue our MFA degrees, and during the quiet years of raising our three young children—especially through the pandemic—I found myself documenting the small, fleeting moments of daily life. Those experiences taught me to see time gently, and to recognize emotion in its most honest form.
I began photographing weddings in 2014, and over the years me and my wife had the honor of documenting several hundred celebrations. My background in fine art continues to influence how I observe light and compose images, while my interest in everyday documentary photography helps me stay present and attentive to real moments.
Today, alongside my work with Resonance Vision, I remain committed to photographing weddings with sincerity, patience, and a deep respect for each couple’s story.
