Eric Sucar is an award-winning photographer based in Central New Jersey. He studied photojournalism at the Rochester Institute of Technology where he graduated in 2005. His work has been published in a variety of publications including Sports Illustrated, USA Today, Newsweek, People, Reader's Digest, Better Homes & Gardens and newspapers worldwide.
When not stuck in traffic on the Garden State Parkway, Eric enjoys watching his beloved New York Yankees, well-written movies, trying to hit pure golf shots and anything covered in chocolate.

The Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly recognizes the accomplishments and creative excellence of Eric. The following awards have been earned by Eric from the WPJA. These achievements come with great merit considering the high level of competition that a member faces in the contests.
The layering worked really well in this image.
This image beautifully reflects the passage of time and a turning of the page in the chapter of life. The subdued lighting in the room is like a candle in the apex of extinguishment. The elderly woman at right symbolically represents that passage (although I am in no way suggesting that she is extinguishing.) As the couple exits one room they enter a far greater "room" outside, with community, friends and family that marks their path together as one.
