Naples wedding photography by Federica Ariemma, of Campania, Italy

Hi, I'm Federica! I was born in Naples in 1987. I have coffee flowing in my veins and a strong Neapolitan soul. I am strongly linked to my land and to my origins, even though I feel I belong to the whole world. I love Asia, Asian peoples, and Buddhism. I love traveling, as soon as I can I prepare my backpack and leave. I am a greedy perennially on a diet, I love white chocolate and pizza, strictly Neapolitan. I love simple things, I like habits and routine, but I am one with headshots. My motto is “let you go“. I am precise, determined and solar. I look tough, actually I’m very sensitive. My colleagues nicknamed me “the sergeant” because when I work I am serious and very strict. I don’t let one pass. Despite this, at every wedding, I am moved. I hide the tears behind the camera, the only place where I feel safe. I abandoned after a 9-year course of study and a specialization in Food Science to live of photography. I love weddings. I love the emotions of the spouses, the unpredictability of people, I love tears, deep looks, intertwined hands, the warmth of families, strong hugs, children who run and get dirty, grandparents who fall asleep. I try to tell every story in a simple, natural and elegant way, as I perceive it and live it. I simply let myself be carried away by emotions and by the day, without directing it or modifying the natural course of events. I like to think that my story will be a memory forever in someone’s life. I love this job because, in reality, for me, it’s not a job and, as someone says: “love your job and you’ll never work a day of your life”. [Naples Wedding Photographer]

Campania and Naples wedding photography by Luca Salvemini of Italy

Luca Salvemini was born in Naples in 1981. Second-born of three brothers, he approached photography on the day of his First Communion, thanks to a compact Olympus given to him by an uncle. His passion becomes a life choice when he enrolls in the Faculty of Psychology, where his studies and background allow him to develop an innovative approach to work, a mix of passion, understanding, and emotion. Time and experience will be too strong, and Luca will form part of his method on the ability to establish true and empathetic relationships with couples. After intense training at the Scuola Romana di Fotografia and a very strong apprenticeship in a Photo Studio, he decides to leave Italy and approach a new work experience in Amsterdam. In a few months, he gives his first solo show at the Amsterdam Royal Gallery. After a couple of years in the Netherlands, he returns to Naples where he decides to found Life Photography together with Davide. He is a huge fan of U2 band. It is impossible to count on the fingers of two hands the number of concerts he has assisted to, in Italy and in Europe. Indeed, as soon as he has free time it is likely to find him shooting pictures around the world with his camera living the experiences of the places. [Naples Wedding Photographer]

Naples wedding photography by Luigi Reccia, of Campania Italy

I have the restless mind of those who have dreams and desires hidden among the stars. The first thing I clearly remember is when at the age of 6 I started to draw copying from a Mickey Mouse comic book. From then my entire life has been linked to visual art. I've always been a stubborn person, this has led my life through good and bad decisions until in 2008 I decided to become a photographer. My first passion anyway has always been music, my mother and father are two rock 'n' roll souls who gave me good ears and the chance to express myself with the things I love the most. When I started shooting pictures, I started from music. I've been following local bands, gigs, and festivals for years, I've worked (I still am) in recording studios as photographer/videomaker. There never been a single day without listening at least one song in my life. Little by little I entered into the wedding business, which is my main activity since 2012. I'm a lifetime daydreamer, a romantic soul who still believes in good simple things such an eye-contact, a hug or a moment of silence staring at a warm sunset. I search for the truth hidden in one of those moments, taking pictures for me means capturing a moment between two moments, and giving it to eternity, stopping time. I think to myself as a free astronaut, a cosmonaut who sails aimlessly and relentlessly in the sidereal space of his thoughts and curiosities. I live among the stars. [Naples Wedding Photographer]

Naples wedding photography by Serena Faraldo of Campania Italy

Class of 1985. Neapolitan by origin and upbringing, Partenope (the Siren from Greek mythology associated with my beautiful city) taught me many things; inside my soul, I feel the warmth and “serenity” of the sea which, if necessary, can become powerful, wavy and stormy. I am a Pisces ascending Lion; I have a passionate soul at heart but can keep an equally quiet and relaxed attitude on the surface, as my name “Serena” suggests. I've been proudly sporting my bangs since I was a kid (though sometimes a little crooked) and I won't let any hairdresser cut them. My fringe is not the only thing I carry with me from my childhood. I started drawing as soon as I was able to hold a pencil between my fingers and never stopped ever since and I still have the same love for art and images. This world made of colors and shapes of my childhood, never faded from inside of me; instead it has evolved, guiding me to explore many forms and expressions of Art. My creativity and passion for art became a precise path of studies all based on images, colors, shapes and Art, starting from Art high school up to a Fine Arts Degrees in graphics and photography. I consider love, and the chance to love, the greatest gift that life can give you; the most powerful fuel for any metaphorical engine. That's why perhaps I’d best describe myself as a “Love photographer” more than as a wedding photographer. I deeply love my job. To me, it’s not just a simple job, but a source of everyday happiness; a dream that comes true every time I’m able to hold my camera and become a storyteller. I love to tell love stories and I do that in the most caring, creative and passionate way. There are many other things that I love, besides my job; I love my dog Rori, who is my little old, grey best friend. To be honest I love all dogs and if I meet one, I have to cuddle him/her for at least 5 minutes! I love my grandmother, my mother and my sister, who are my story and my memory. I love my nephew, Simone. I love vintage stuff. I could spend hours in the flea markets in search of small treasures. I love dancing despite being a terribly uncoordinated person! I love everything that is a "game"; be it a role play, a table game, or a simple video game…I’m in! I love to meet people who have been able to keep their inner child alive, just like I did and I try to do every day of my life. I love travelling, UFO documentaries, swing dance, cold pizza at breakfast, warm pyjamas, watching the stars imagining life on the planets up there, Japanese mochi, and learning. When I’m not working on photography, I spend all my time on travel, music, movies, books and TV series; I strongly believe that all this will keep my mind open, helping me to be a better photographer. WPJA Communiqué: Features
Philippe Swiggers, of , is a wedding photographer for Puglia
While wedding party stereotypes still exist, most people realize there’s more to being a bridesmaid than looking beautiful, more to being a groomsman than adding life and excitement to the reception party. But even the bride and groom might not fully understand just how helpful these roles can be, long after the train is bustled and the speeches are given. With a little direction (and not that much effort), members of the wedding party can facilitate great wedding photojournalism —a favor that...Read more

Portraits are part of every wedding, of course, but some photos have the ability to sear themselves into the memory, providing an unforgettable image that rises above the common convention. Wedding photojournalists shooting portraits work within an expanded set of parameters, just like their counterparts in the news world: Some direction and setup is acceptable in order to fully capture subjects in the context of who they are and what they are feeling. Yet everyone approaches wedding portraits...Read more
