Montana Wedding Photography, Engagement Photo Sessions + Elopements

YOU CAN'T STOP LOVE - In recent days, some of our Montana wedding photographer vendors have expressed their desire to accommodate couples who don’t want to wait to be married and are rushing the ceremony.

Many couples have recently discovered that less is more when it comes to wedding planning in Montana, and those small weddings allow them to truly enjoy every aspect of their day. These intimate events allow brides and grooms to be fully present, as they are less worried and intimidated about the sheer size and scope of the day. While they may be planning a sweet and simple Montana elopement, couples still want to have their wedding day documented. It's important to work with a WPJA Montana photographer who specializes in elopements and who understands the unique dynamic of this type of event. The right photographer will capture the events of the day, the atmosphere of the event and the most important details.

The WPJA has an abundance of top-ranked, Montana documentary wedding photographers available right now who understand that some weddings and elopements can’t wait. Find yours today!

Elopement Photographers for Small Montana Weddings

Shooting an elopement or small Montana wedding event is a wedding photojournalist’s dream: a fairly open schedule with lots of breathing space for creativity – it’s just the photographer, the couple, the officiant, and perhaps a few select companions.

United States WPJA members are ready to document any small, DIY - do it yourself, courthouse, or elopement wedding, even if it is a Monday-Thursday ceremony. Search for the “Can Shoot Weddings on Short Notice!” message on the listings below.

We are anxious to create a picture story chronicling your symbolic, non-traditional, unique, small wedding from beginning to end. In this sense, it is no different from any other event that we have covered. The emphasis is on documenting key moments, capturing spontaneous displays of emotion, telling your real love story, as well as creating artistic portraits and details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who are the best Montana wedding photographers for small elopements?
A: The WPJA is proud to have some of the top Montana documentary wedding photographers for elopements. Our members are able to submit WedElope Stories that take you step-by-step, via a 9 image picture story, through the unique and moving elopements that take place around the world.
Q: How can couples find reviews of Montana wedding photographers?
A: We call them Client Letters. At the WPJA, we decided more than 20 years ago to avoid incorporating those third-person testimonials and endorsements that are found all too often in advertisements. Instead, we elevated our listings with the use of Client Letters, which represent the actual words and feelings of the clients who booked those Montana wedding photographers for their own wedding.
Q: Can a wedding photojournalist create artistic portraits on my Montana wedding day?
A: While wedding photojournalists strive to capture candid moments on the wedding day, our photographers also are skilled artists who can compose powerful portraits. If you have a specific vision of what types of images you want from your wedding day, look at the top-ranked Montana wedding photographers who have earned Artistic Guild awards for portrait and detail images.

Thank you so much for all of your hard work on our beautiful wedding photos. There are no words to express our gratitude for capturing some of the most important moments of our lives. Our wedding & engagement photos are an absolute treasure that we will savor and cherish forever. When we share our album with friends, they rave about how unique it is and that they’ve never seen anything like it. I have to agree it is amazing and a delight to flip through - it just seems to bring us right back to June 7, 2008 - a day that we hold very close to our hearts.

WOOOOOOOO WWWWWWWwW. This is basically the highest form of verbal praise we can give, when we are so blown away by things, we add at least 7 o’s and at least the same number of whatever consonant letter follows the vowel. This is because the pictures leave us so incredibly speechless that all we keep saying is “this is amazing” “no, THIS is amazing.” Which dilutes the power of the amazing which is not at all fair. You guys must be photography ninjas because after the family photos, you were so stealthy I had no idea of your whereabouts, but clearly you were hiding in the best places to capture all these great memories!!!! I am so so happy with these sneak peek photos! Thank you for the gift of your craft. We are so happy you were there on our special day capturing all of these moments in such unique and beautiful form.
