Jeremy Fiori, wedding photographer in France

Happy dad of a little princess and totally in love of my wonderful pregnant wife, life is great with me! Passionate about social photography for a long time, I began as a photographer by taking pictures of the streets and passers-by, their originality and unexpected moments. I am an admirer of the greatest works in this field, as those of Willy Ronis, Henry Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, Diane Arbus, etc… They gave me the taste of aesthetics and the desire to make photographic reports. Therefore, I have been specialized in wedding report since 2012, like a documentary photographer. I covered a little over a hundred wedding in 6 years (almost 20/25 wedding weddings per year now) and I love it! Photography, wedding, love, happiness, that's my life! [Angers Wedding Photographer]

Angers marriage reportage photographer Thomas Desmier - France WPJA for Pays de la Loire, Maine-et-Loire

A camera in my hands since the age of 10, my first photos will have the taste of holidays, trips and student nights (with more or less happy results). And still trips (UK, Turkey, Germany ...), faces, Paris, still more faces. The virus is there, well implanted in my head and in my heart, I train myself in photo reporting to improve the technique, and enrich myself culturally as well. I'm going to see Peru and I'm only coming back when I've been around, from Machu Picchu to coastal deserts to the Amazon. Then I spend a lot of time doing photographs of (ecological) buildings in London, Liverpool, Berlin, Hannover ... (serious work in architecture and urbanism agency with pieces of photos in it). I then succumbed to the charms of the Pays de Loire and more precisely of the Angevin region. Angers brought me balance. I enriched my photographic practice and eventually became a professional photographer. The wanderlust and the desire to discover, but with a real engine: people! You! That's what counts above all! people who trust me to capture one of the strongest moments of their lives so that I can make images that matter. Photographs that will remain the medium of your memories, your emotions for a long time. I love taking pictures! especially when you are happy and having fun. Finally, that's why I offer my services to you, brides and grooms, for 6 years and it is not ready to stop so the pleasure is great to be able to follow you during one of the most beautiful days of your life. Vendee is home to French wedding photographer Sybil Rondeau

I am a photographer because I can put order into my world this way and give it a meaning. When everything comes in its right place in my viewfinder, nothing is more satisfying! I am passionate, perfectionist, independent, workaholic. As far as I can remember, I have always been looking for an artistic way to express myself. Some years ago, when I got my first camera, I immediately knew it was it! A revelation and immediate passion quickly focused to portrait and social pictures. This is the reason for my interest in weddings. There is no better better occasion to catch these short moments full of life, full of emotion, while playing with light and dealing with all unexpected events. My feminine sensitivity and my discretion are some of my assets to let couples live again - if not discover - their wedding. Through spontaneous images that will be full of life, of poetry and, sometimes, of humour. I shoot about twenty weddings each year, and I've been shooting weddings for six years. Tim Fox is a wedding photographer from France - Loire-Atlantique

I am an English photographer originally from London and have been based in Nantes, western France for the last 15 years. I have been shooting weddings for over a decade in my own personal style: a marriage of British humour and French romance! Reportage photography is what comes naturally to me, and what I do best. I follow my visual instinct in capturing the flow of events that constitute the rhythmic journey of a wedding day. Passionate about photographing people, I seek to express the spontaneity and full force of emotion that truly define a wedding as a once in a lifetime experience. Being completely bilingual, my cultural and communication skills allow English-speaking couples, getting married in France, to feel totally at ease in front of the camera, essential for creating natural and dynamic photos. Aside from covering weddings, I have worked in the UK and France in the fields of social, documentary and travel photography and am a regular contributor to national press publications such as Capital, Le Point and Le Nouvel Observateur. I am also a teacher of photography to graphic design students. [Vertou Wedding Photographer]

Florent Fauqueux, La Rochelle Wedding Photographer for Charente-Maritime, France

Why am I a photographer? Because I don't know how to sing :) In fact, it's the shortest way I've found to touch people's hearts ... Since the birth of my son in 2010, the portrait fascinates me, the beauty of a face, the harmony of a silhouette ... I marvel at the daily diversity of our bodies and our faces. A few years later, with the arrival of my daughter, this quest for aesthetics has evolved. I understood that an image was nothing without an intention, a laugh, a feeling ... This is how the family has become my greatest source of inspiration. I feel today a deep joy to give you my vision of the small daily happiness, as great moments of life! In short, I found what really matters. [La Rochelle Wedding Photographer]

A woman holds a little girl's hand while the bride kneels down and smiles at her before the ceremony in this wedding photo | Children photography at weddings.
The start of the great divide between the sexes can be witnessed a lot earlier in life than most believe. Girls and boys participating in weddings around the world demonstrate this time and time again. Frequently, little girls will relish the opportunity to dress up in their finest, while the boys do so begrudgingly, kicking and screaming all the way to the altar, so to speak. However, it doesn’t take long before that divide is bridged, and children are children again, with neither girls nor...Read more
Wedding photograph with layers | Image of the groom coming into the ceremony outdoors
Anyone who’s been to a wedding knows there’s nothing simple about the photographer’s job. This is doubly true for a wedding photojournalist, whose goal is not to just photograph the couple, and the family and friends present, but to capture the energy and the variety of emotion that surround the event. After all, it’s called a milestone for a reason. One of the best compositional strategies for a wedding photojournalist is to focus on images with depth. Deep photos, like...Read more

Picture this: It's mid-summer, with temps in the low-80s, a cloudless sky, and oh-so-light gusts keeping everyone just cool enough. Maybe you're out on a bluff, overlooking the ocean, or in a fragrant, blooming garden. A scene is set for the ideal summer wedding. But—back in reality here—there's no way that six to eight months or more down the road any couple can forecast such pristine conditions for their wedding day. Despite their idealized image, summer weddings can...Read more
Sideline story photography at the wedding reception showing ladies drinking gin from tea cups
Some wedding photographers may feel the need to include the bride or groom in every picture, but those photos convey only part of the day's record. Most WPJA members will probably tell you that you're not fully documenting the event unless you get out there on the periphery and record the subplots of the wedding day—the unique and intersecting stories of the guests as they enjoy the festivities. We call these types of pictures “sideline shots,” and they are distinct from the standard reaction...Read more
