After majoring in advertising, I worked in various fields of art and communication back in my native Brazil. But it was only in wedding photojournalism that I´ve found real vocation and passion. In 2007 I was privileged to be the first Latin American photojournalist to be recognized by a prestigious WPJA
On the very day, I'm a discreet observer in search for the exact instant, applying the best technique, the right angle, the most favourable light, so that couples can hold on to the best moments of their big day.
Award Winning Photos
The Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly recognizes the accomplishments and creative excellence of Fabio. The following awards have been earned by Fabio from the WPJA. These achievements come with great merit considering the high level of competition that a member faces in the contests.
Unusual composition, and intense flare.
Nice light and color. The bride and her father are just perfectly framed in the grand view.
The bright yellow wall represents the sunshine on a cloudy day. The pair walking adds the nice human element—especially the shadows.
I have been many places throughout the world but it is hard for me to imagine a storybook scene such as this. I loved this image for its pure beauty but respect the thoughtful eye that brought everything together to create a dreamy fairy tale image.
Great color – just a nice shot of the performer during the reception.
Generally speaking I'm not fond of portraits that place the primary subject in an out-of-focus blur in the background. Ahhh, but then there is an image like this that reminds us about the primary purpose of a portrait - to speak of the character and personality of the subject. A portrait should give us an "insider's view" of someone or something - information that might be unseen in a common snapshot view. This image quickly rose to the surface for its indelible revelations about this couple. Focusing on their feet was the perfect way to tell us something about their personality. What a fun approach to an obviously fun couple. This couple would get an invite to my next party.
I like the little girl leaning out of the pew to be able to see what is going on up at the altar. She's trying to be discreet, but she really wants to see what is happening up there. I like the way the pillars with flowers lead your eye up the aisle to where the couple is standing.

Fabio, there isn’t a fair way to thank you for the great job you did! It would be unthinkable for anyone to have the ability to immortalize in such a beautiful and unique way the amazing moments we spent on our wedding day! Because there are the small details that distinguish the good from the great, you are certainly a genius in what you do! Because you helped to immortalize one of the most important days of our lives, I thank you with all my heart for these beautiful images that will always keep in mind the emotions that we lived on our special day! And since a picture is worth a thousand words ... Yours will be worth for a million! Thank you!

Fabio and Maria, you were an absolute pleasure to work with from the start – Customer focus: you were very happy to meet us on more than one occasion to understand how we’d like our wedding day captured and were always very prompt to answer any of our emails (and the many queries from our parents!). In particular we were really touched when you sent us sneak previews of a selection of photos while we were on honeymoon. Proactive: you visited the venues independently to scout out the locations and lighting. On the day, you also took the initiative to speak to our priest and understand when they could take discretely photos during the mass. Professional: On the day, you seamlessly blended in with our guests, adapted flexibly to the flow of the day and captured the story and the emotions of the day beautifully. We are so pleased with our album and are so grateful to you for your hard work and patience! Thanks again to you both!
